Design Ability and Condition

At present, the company has developed and designed more than 1,000 steam & water

turbine generating sets for more than 700 power stations. The power stations locate in

more than 20 provinces and 10 countries abroad. All the units operate reliably and safely.

During 20 years , the science & technology team have accumulated much experience on

developing, manufacturing, erection of generating equipment, and they have very strong

developing ability. Now our company has 120 designing engineers equipped with

advanced CAD hardware system and software system with strong functions. Our

company has established a perfect products information system through E-mail system

and Web-site system set in CAD network to

guarantee good communication among different

departments. On the base of AutoCAD products

design system, all the design for products and

edition for documents are finished by computer.

We also carry out computer analysis on rotary

parts of generating equipment by the aid of

Pro/Engineer software system made in America,

to check the pre-assembling of products which

can not be performed during the period of manufacture and evaluate the performance of

the products. Then the problems can be solved during the period of design. With these

software, our technical development ability and design ability have been improved, the

reliability of products have been improved, the design cost has been reduced, the design

period has been shorten.

Through the efforts of all the technicians, we have formed our characteristic and strong

competition on development of products as following:

System of quality assurance of our company was ensured by Vouching Technical

Inspection Ltd. in 1996 and passed for the first time, so our company attains the

assurance of GB/T19001 idt ISO9001 (see the accessory)

For ensuring the products’ quality, our company continuously strengthens inner

management, improves the workers’ quality, operates according to COMPANY’S

HANDBOOK OF QUALITY and quality system of ISO9001 programs, besides

depending on strong technology and quality appliances. Company’s design, purchase,

A. Quality assurance bureau

Our company has complete 3 systems of quality management, and quality department to

ensure quality. It has the right for veto, and it is in charge of organizing checking and

supervising. Each year our company makes quality policy, products’ excelled plan,

quality improving plan, quality examining plan and so on. Our company takes active in

quality management, important components are tackled key problem, and takes active in

products’ quality action, and the each operation quality control. Company deals with

inner and outer quality information, operates all-quality education, and has plan to

develop the workers’ education, continuously improves products’ quality.

examining. The positional management of the products’ manufacture process comes into

being, so better ensures the products’ quality.

B. Quality assurance of design

In the course of new product’s design, our company pays much attention to the quality

management of design stage from start, according to all kinds of standards made by

company, designs and checks in stage and ensures the user’s orders for products to occur

in the products’ design documents.

Designer work is in 3 stages according to product’s complexity and the amount of

producing. For large product, important product and large amount product, we use 3

stages design-primary design, technology design and construction design. During the

course of design, we use new construction and new material assured by experiment and

continuously completed the design in scientific methods.

Our company’s all new products pass the design examination according to reliability,

applicability, endurance, economy, safety and so on.

After manufactured according to orders, the products accept design examination by the

users, academy and authority besides examined by our company.

Quality assurance of product’s improvement design

For the machinery in manufacturing and operating, periodical and non-periodical visiting

system is set in our company. The operational conditions of Users are fed back. And the

information that is good to the installation, operation and maintenance is used for the

normal design procedure, and operating by necessary tests and selected points.

C. Quality assurance of drawings and technology documents management

Technology files and information department is in charge of the management of drawings

and technology documents, and builds a set of complete management systems of

technology documents files. For adapting to the character that there are many kinds of

products in our company, the department makes definite managing methods for copying,

offering to other departments, lending, changing and settling of drawings and technology

documents. It also makes the records of the products manufactures process and

experiment and which departments to hand out.

D. Quality assurance of the management of physics-chemistry

For ensuring the measurement work of our company, we make a set of management

systems, compile yearly measurement work plan early in the year, and timely examine

the work quality of the workers. We ensure the measurement work quality by rewards

and penalty.

a. Certification assurance of the measurement workers

Our company carries out the cultivate system of the workers of measurement,

physics-chemistry and examining. They must be certified by superior measurement

bureau, and have the right to operate with attaining the certification.

b. Examination of measurement appliances

The measurement appliances purchased are carried out examination system. After

examined, they are compiled together and checked in, attached to “pass”, “sheet of

measurement appliances exchange”, and filled in “record card” for examination,

otherwise they needn’t be used. We timely examine the measurement appliances used in

the company, and decide the examination circle according to the quality, using frequency,

measured objects, importance and maintenance. There is a measurement check station in

each production branch, so as to ensure the accurate use of measurement appliance.

c. physics-chemistry experiment

In order to ensure the inner quality and liability of products, we build the departments of

chemistry parts analysis, mechanical properties testing, metal-graphic analysis,

non-destructive flaw detection, micro-magnetic and insulating performance testing, for

the material, cast steel rough, part-product and product of sealing and thermal processed.

We carry out the GB, JB, and the standard of technology documents. All experiment data

should be record in the ruled examination sheets, thus ensure the clarity, completion,,

accuracy of check contents, and the check records are filed to be examined for long time.

E. Quality assurance of product manufacture

a. Quality control of material

The plan, purchase, check, maintain, supply of material are based on the plan of product

and technology preparation and scientific technology research and the collection of

market quality information. The quality measurement department takes charge of

carrying out the work that the important component material is supplied by which

charge of supplying with material, casting, and outsourcing fittings. They are checked

with the quality certification and physics-chemistry check report by the quality

department workers after coming into the company. And the workers recheck the

appearance, the dimensions, physics-chemistry character according to correlative

standard and technology documents. After rechecking which material checks out, we can

place it alone. And the checker hands out the information sheet to inform the supply

department to do the work for exit or reuse. In special, we permit that the quality material

can take the place of the bad material, that the large one can take the place of few one,

but must hand out the replacement sheet agreed by technology department.

b. Quality control of operating program

Operation of the course of product manufacture, usage of appliances and check methods

are based on the technology documents of product, main products of our company are

compiled with product character, standard of importance grade and standard of seriority

grade of defect. For high quality, important operating program of large amount of product,

we set a lot of operating program quality control points. Our company set 178 operating

program quality control points for 12 products, and solids the product manufacture

quality operating program quality’s check and Qcactions.

In the course of product manufacture, operator must execute the rules such as “3

according to”, “3 self”, “3 check”. There are 17 special check station to check for the

input of material, component’s operation, installment of part-product and product and

packing. All the check records must fill in the record sheets to prepare to be checked.

There are 6 experimental stations for all kinds of electronic-motor, and our company has

the capability for the experiment of single 0.05MW.

c. Done-check and departure certification

Products after manufactured must be done-checked. Main products must be rechecked in

the spot by the leaders of quality department and designer. All the reports of experiment

and check are complete and can get the design demand. All necessary quality documents

are complete, so the leader of quality department can sign the departure certification. The

products can be sent by product department (or stored).

Normal products can be signed the departure certification by the leader of check station

after rechecked.

Our company makes the management system for non-passed products. The non-passed

products found in “self check” and “special check” are firstly separated, and we make the

signs on the components, at the same time, fill in the quality process sheet, hand in

correlative departments to deal with. These products can be used after processed by the

departments of design, technology and quality. While these products can’t be used.

Checker hands out the waste product sheet and informs the company to transfer the

products to the ordered place for waste product.

After being transferred from military industry, The works, making use of the

advantages of military industry, centers on the generating equipment market, integrate

our own product structure, pay much attention to technological and technological

development, raise technological level, settle key technological problems. In recent

years, it use and spread new equipment, new technology, new materials on

development of new products, and self-design and self-install 6 motor test station, and

install 10T dynamic balance machine, and add 5m vertical lathe, 10m vertical lathe,

(200floor borer, and finish 36 numerical display coordinates. And all of these make

our machining ability and technological level on a higher step. To the aspect of new

technology, is spreads and applies welding technology of carbon dioxide gas and VSR

technology, settles many technological and production problems of welding of water

turbine and hydraulic generating set, and settles chromium plating with an area of

almost 200 square cun and is praised by users and foreign merchants.

The works pays much attention to technological staff and their study and training, for

example, some of them were sent to Chongqing University and Xian Jiaotong

University and other works of the same trade to take a refresher course, and let new

technology guide the production and establish a group of advanced technological

staff.

Testing Laboratory

Our company has special measure & physics-chemistry department. This department

is separate into number of group, therein, the mechanical measuring group and the

electrical insulation group specially responding for characteristic testing of major

parts to insure quality of products.

For mechanical characteristic measuring, our company has special measuring and

testing equipment, and has the ability to check and test major mechanics characteristic

of ferrous metal and nonferrous metal (including tensile strength, yield strength,

extensibility, percentage reduction of area, impact value, hardness and others). Our

company also has the ability to analysis chemical components of material. At same

time our company can perform metallurgical analysis for materials to confirm internal

compose.

For electrical characteristic testing, our company has high-voltage withstand

equipment, high-voltage surge instrument, intermediate frequency power source and

large capacity DC power source, and has ability to according to standard to check and

test different electric characteristic. During single coil manufacture, we can perform

testing and measuring items including turn-to turn voltage withstand test, corona test,

dielectric loss test and increment test, AC voltage withstand (to earth) and others; after

assembling, we can perform DC voltage withstand test, leakage current measuring,

complete unit voltage withstand test (to earth) and corona test. All tests are performed

according to national standard.

Our company has large capacity generator testing station, can perform whole unit

rotation test of horizontal and middle and small capacity vertical hydro-generator

(including thermal generator) to examine the mechanical and electrical characteristic

of generator unit.

Because of the excellence performance of us, our company has been appraised to

“national first stage measure unit” at 1989. The certificate please sees “Qualification

Certificate of our company”.

Technical Service

（1）Aim for after-sales service of our company is “The quality is the first, the user is

the first.” We obey the contract and supply the users with quality and satisfied

products, and carry out long-life service at the technology, material, preparation and

fittings, and execute the service sprit of “Large thing doesn’t pass one night, little

thing doesn’t the duty”. Therefore, our company specially sets the department of user

service for user to install the machinery, debug, fix, and deal with the accident. It also

educates the operator for user and sets the files of users’ quality and deals with the

information from users in time with “24-hour service spirit”. During the course of

installation, debugging, running-in, our company will send 1 to 2 experienced service

delegate to live at the workplace and help to install. They will deal with correlative

problems in time. They can make users satisfy.

（2）Organization system for after-sales service

1) Establish after-sales service system, which consists of After-Sales Service

Department, Technical Development Department, Power Equipment Installation

Department and other relevant departments. Chief Engineer will take charge of the

system.

2) Set up around-the-clock service hot line, i.e. (0833) 3250898. We will

solve the problems or answer the questions on technology and quality within 24

hours.

3) Visit the customers in the power stations to collect feed-back information

in time. For example, for the quality problem to be solved, it shall be had a special

meeting and put forward reasonable scheme in order to improve our product quality

and establish friendly mutual cooperation foundation.

（3）Actively push foreseeability service and life-long service

1）After the power station is put into operation, the required spare parts will

be supplied with preferential price. And we will guarantee and supply the spare parts

in time.

2）Our company will send experienced technicians to the site, who will

assist to install and dealt with the customer opinions. If the customer is not satisfied,

the service technician shall not leave the site.

3）According to actual project schedule, Project Managing Department of

our company will adjust production plan in time to meet the requirement of timely

delivery.

A Project responsibility system

Before contracting a project, a Project Team will be established which

B Quality assurance

In 1996, our company gained the ISO9000 Certificate and was the only enterprise that

gained the title of National Grade-One Metering Enterprise. We will perform our

contract strictly according to ISO9000. We choose the best national suppliers for

materials, shaft forgings and forgings. And strict inspections and physical and

chemical inspection reports will be made before the materials and forgings are sent

into workshop. And during production, each process is strictly controlled for quality.

Before delivery from the workshop, all the parts must be pre-assembled, adjusted and
