The Far More Church
The Apostle Paul, in his benediction to the Letter to the Ephesians,
presents an engaging challenge to Trinity, and any church today – that we
be a “Far More Church.”
"Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish
abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the
church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.
Amen" (3:20-21).
The apostle suggests only our imagination limits our opportunities. What
does a Far More Church look like?
• Far More giving to missions
• Far More evangelism
• Far More hospitality
• Far More love for our neighbors
• Far More youth in discipleship
• Far More stronger families
Consider the mirror image of the Far More Church, the Far Less Church,
how we need:
• Far Less bickering
• Far Less wavering and doubting
• Far Less negativity
• Far Less unfriendliness
• Far Less rigidness
Far More, Far Less – abundantly more than we can imagine, to the Glory
of God in Christ Jesus!

Volunteers needed for this ministry to succeed! That means you!
Feeding Trinity’s Sheep is designed to help people who do not have a support group such as a SS class or small group. Or after your support group has provided food and your need continues. There is no cost to the recipients.
We will have a variety of frozen meals prepared by volunteers during cooking sessions at the church. They will be available for pickup or delivery. The meals will be funded by donations received from our 5th Sunday lunches.
Please consider helping this ministry. We will need people to help prepare meals on
the 5th Sundays, prepare meals to be frozen and packaged, deliver meals when people can’t pick up the meals.
Volunteer sheets will be in upcoming church bulletins.
Feel free to contact: Suzy Ooten, [email protected] or Donna Kinkead, [email protected] for more information,

Cappuccino
Every morning Kate goes to the nearest Starbucks to get a
cappuccino with her friend .
Kyle behind the counter whistles as he works in slow motion not
in any hurry at all. He then takes the whipped cream and makes a smile in
her cappuccino and hands her the coffee as he smiles. She looks into the
cup of cappuccino seeing it as if for the first time. She breathes in the
deliciousness and makes remarks about the smile in her coffee.
That is the opening gesture for her day, being greeted by his
unique smile each day, his generosity that blesses her. She learns from
him how to enjoy that moment and notice the smiles and the blessings
around her.
When she leaves, she always turns back at the door and shouts,
“See you tomorrow, Kyle.” He yells back, “Same time, same place with a
different smiley face in your cup .”
Do we take the time to slow down and enjoy the smiles and the
blessings God has put before us? Do you know the colors of the flowers
blooming in your yard? Do we know the stories of those who are part of
our lives everyday, those who smile at you?
God wants us to enjoy
those around us and to see the
beauty that God puts in our path.
So this month, “Stop, and take
time to enjoy each person, each
moment of your life, each smile
that comes your way.”
Blessings,
Rev Brenda

MARK YOUR CALENDAR-Trinity will host Family Promise the
week of May 29-June 5. Sign up sheets will be available in the gathering
area beginning Sunday, May 1. For information on the volunteer op-
portunities available contact Liz Wright at 219-5288 or Ed Coppock at
617-3329.
All my brothers and sisters at Trinity,
I am writing on behalf of the new prayer group that James Raxter has begun on Wednesday evenings. We are off to a good start, and are now starting to get a direction for how the group will pray for Trinity. I would like to ask you, as a member or visitor to Trinity, to please send your specific or general prayer requests that you have for our church. Prayers for guidance, for praise, for continued strength, for correction, for new direction, for thanksgiving, for welcome, for outreach, for a turning toward, for a turning away. Whatever you would have lifted up in prayer for our church, whether it's specific or just a general wish for and yearning, please send them to me at [email protected], as regularly as you wish, every week even, and I will bring these requests to our group, and we will bring them to God.
I would also ask you to also pray directly for Trinity, even if it's the same prayer you send to me to share, for there is power in numbers, and power in the prayers of the righteous. James 5:16 - "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
And please feel free to join us, as often as you can. We meet at 6:30 p.m. in the parlor. We will keep a journal of the prayer requests, to see how God chooses to answer us, and we need to pay attention to this, the listening-to God part, it is as important as the speaking-to God part. So please send me your prayers for Trinity, and make an effort to be vigilant in your own personal prayer life, and include our church and it's ministries in your supplications to God. Thanks.

This class is made up of two groups who decided years ago to merge. We were generally young adults who wanted to learn much more about God’s word. Most of the time we study the International Bible Series and our teachers are given an accompanying, in depth book for teachers. We have four excellent teachers who rotate: Pat Gillespie, Pat Land, Greg McNeil and Drama Robeson. Our class members are: Bob and Carla Brown, Wally and Pat Gillespie, Kurt and Pat Land, Joe Lentz, Ginger Mayfield, Greg and Marti McNeil, Joe and Becky Nunnally, Frank and Donna Patschke, Sammy Proietto, Delwin and Drama Robeson, Lee and Melinda Ross, Robert and Liz Seaman, Pauline White. We have another couple who just recently returned: Bill and Suzanne Shinn. We are happy!! This class is a discussion/lecture/questioning group, who enjoys learning things about our Christian faith and spending time in prayer. We urge all to bring their Bibles and learn with us. We participate in several programs of our Church and would welcome any and all who wish to join our group. We have a very happy time as we study and learn together! So, walk in smiling!
