Steve Bellemare took over as the manag- er last year. Steve has worked in flooring and in the Bennington Area for almost 30 years. If the name sounds familiar, he ran Bellemare Flooring and Window Treatments for his father and uncle for the 14 years before it closed. You might say Steve grew up in the home décor business. Jason Campbell has been a sales associate with WCW for the past 10 years. This includes this past year with Steve and they are sll talking and joking with each other. Between them you have a lot of years of flooring experience! WCW has a large inventory of carpet, vinyl, and rugs. They service residenal, commercial, and in- dustrial applicaons. They carry all the major brands. When asked about new trends in flooring they both answered “vinyl plank”. Why? Because it is waterproof, durable, and can be installed above or below grade. WCW Carpet Warehouse services not only Bennington but also across the New York border, Deerfield Valley, the Berkshires, and the Manchester area. They have quite a lot of second home owner clients. Check out the products and learn from the pros. WCW Carpet warehouse is located at 211 River Street in Bennington. They are open 8-5 Monday – Friday and 9 – 2 on Saturdays. You don’t need to be on a team to participate, but it’s not too late to form a team if interested. The 20th Annual Southern Vermont Garlic and Herb Fesval is only three months away. So I am asking you to think about an item, coupon, etc. that perhaps you would like to insert into our Vendor Bags this year. This is a very special year, marking the 20th Anniversary of the Fesval and we would like to have our members promote themselves and their businesses by inserng a “goodie” into the Vendor Bags. Some ideas could be a discount coupon, a free small giſt at your place of business, a free dessert, etc. Last year we had just over 180 vendors and hope to have the same number this year. So be thinking about ideas and let me know if there is something that you would like to have inserted into the Vendor Bags this year. I will connue to put out reminders but the sooner you de- cide, you can just let me know. What a free way to adverse as we know the vendors do venture off site to eat, shop, sleep, etc. Why not give them an incenve to come to your business, whatever that may be. Oldcastle Theatre 331 Main Street, Bennington June 5th through June 21st Time Stands Still “Time Stands Still” - focuses on Sarah and James, a photojournalist and foreign correspondent trying to find happiness in a world that seems to have gone crazy . Theirs is a partnership based on telling the toughest stories, and together, making a difference. But when their own story takes a sudden turn, the adventurous couple confronts the prospect of a more conventional life. Sarah is loosely based on Lynsey Addario, prize winning photographer who covered the Afghanistan and Iraq wars for the New York Times and others. Her book, “It’s What I Do” has been a major bestseller. Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies has written a powerfully contempo- rary , searing story of an heroic female journalist wounded covering the war in Iraq. Can you be a dispassionate, uninvolved observer of horrific events, recording them for posterity and still keep a sense of right and wrong? That is just one of the intriguing questions in this smart, timely, stylish and compelling play. For more information, call The Box Office at (802)-447-0564
