Features Features Benefits Top mount display Easily viewed without having to handle the detector
Dual colour backlight
Backlit green when the operator button is pressed Backlit red when in alarm. Instant recognition of danger, and highlights gas in alarm.
Integral over mould anti-shock case
Withstand environmental and usage demands. Case material is anti-static and resistant to corrosive elements found in target markets. Gives shock resistance removing the need for extra rubber boots.
+ve Safety Immediate recognition of detector status in the field or on return from site. No need to handle the detector to ensure it is compliant & safe.
Wide sensor capability
Ensures the right gas detection for target markets using a wide range of sensing technologies. The flexibility to cater for a wide range of requirements.
Internal pump (option)
Pre-entry testing can be performed with the same unit as worn for entries. Automatic flow plate recognition ensures safety and makes usage easy, whilst removing the need to have to charge a separate pump.

Features Features Benefits
Optimally sized Compact solution that will not hinder the primary purpose, whilst being large enough to be usable whilst wearing gloves and strong to withstand continuous use.
Li-ion battery High capacity cell giving >19hrs runtime (CH4, O2, CO, H2S) and fast re-charge (<5 hrs). No need to hunt around for replacement cells, charge in-vehicle, in office or during test and calibration.
Data and event logging as standard
Ensure understanding of alarm and event data by monitoring not only the event but the data surrounding it. Monitor gas test frequency and review
Audible, visual and vibrate alarms
With >95dB at 30cm (1ft), dual red/blue visual alarm, red backlight and in-case vibrate alert ensure the user is notified of danger.
Pre-Entry Check (PEC) mode
Guides user through PEC and registers as an event in the datalog. Allows the user to demonstrate that correct procedure was followed and gives the safety manager/supervisor the ability to review readings.
Highly visible case Instantly recognise that crews are wearing their detector – the bright orange case naturally stands out from clothing when worn.

Pump mode
• Pump Test runs when the pump is activated to check for leaks in the sample line o Cover the inlet o Gas-Pro checks pump current draw o If test fails: remove the flow plate, check the gasket and connection
to sample line
• If the flow plate is attached at switch on, Pump Test will be activated during start-up.

Bump mode
• Once ‘bump mode’ is activated the Gas-Pro is ready to commence bump testing.
• This will only take place if the detector is configured to do so • If a bump test is failed, a calibration can be done, if the detector
is configured to do so • The detector can hold 2 groups of gases
Scenarios: o CO/H2S/LEL/O2 as group 1, and CO2 as group 2 o LEL as group 1 (for daily ATEX bump) and CO/H2S/O2 for group 2
(saving gas)

GAS-PRO PID Gas-Pro Product Introduction
44
V1
© Copyright All Rights Reserved Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd.
• Gas-Pro PID is IP 66 due to no filter being in place over the PID sensor
• PID sensors should not be fitted with any filters, this slows response times

Gas-Pro PID Applications
Measuring Solvent, Fuel, glues and VOC vapors in the workplace environment
Applications

Applications
VOCs are organic compounds characterized by tendency to evaporate easily at room temperature Familiar VOCs include: Solvent Paint thinner Nail polish remover Gasoline Diesel Heating oil Kerosene
Jet fuel Benzene Hexane Toluene Xylene Butadiene
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)

Things to know with PID PID considerations
• Gas-Pro PID will detect other VOC’s if present, not species specific
• Gas-Pro PID lamps need cleaning on a regular basis, we provide a cleaning kit (C03664) and we have a written procedure – document PID-AN-001
• The sensor has a warranty of 1 year and will have a operating period of 10,000 hours.
• If the PID fails the first thing to change is the Electrode Stack this the most likely failure point, followed by the lamp

Things to know with PID Gas-Pro PID Considerations • Measuring Range – 0-1000 PPM (0.1 PPM increments) • PID response time in pump mode – T90 - 40 Seconds • PID response time in diffusion mode – T90 - 52 Seconds • Based on response to Isobutylene at standard temperature and
pressure • Lamp is filled with Krypton, we use a 10.6eV lamp. If this lamp
is dropped and damaged the gas is released and this is needed for the sensor to work.

Q-TEST, I-TEST Gas-Pro Product Introduction
52
V1
© Copyright All Rights Reserved Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd.
Q-Test
• Quick and simple in-field test and calibration
• Unpowered solution for off-site testing • Simple to use and set up • Power enabled Q-Test also offers the ability
to charge • Single gas inlet and exhaust • Suitable for gas mixes (tri, quad, quin)
53

Q-Test operation
• Closing the door activates the bump/pump mode (if pumped). • The user selects the correct function then controls the gas to
perform the required test. • Once the detector has passed (or failed) the test, the user turns
off the gas. • The detector is now ready for use.

Crowcon’s I-Test I-Test
Stations can be placed around site at easy access areas. Any bump and calibrations that are carried out will be recorded on the station. Records can then be transferred to a central PC and reports can be generated to ensure that users are complying with site standards.

Calibration Gas Control Cylinder tracking
• Using the software allows the user to define a cylinder for storage in the database
• A user can enter the cylinder themselves • User can upload a pre-saved cylinder • Cylinder levels must be set • A gas can be removed and added to a cylinder definition list • Able to give a description to the cylinder • Choose test type, for example Speedy bump which allows
quicker Bump tests and saves on cost of gas
58

Crowcon’s I-Test I-Test manager
The software offers great flexibility: o Change alarm levels on each sensor o Control calibration gas and lot numbers o Set up inlets with the correct gas o Set up banners on the display o Set calibration information and store results o Set bump test information and store results o View event and data logs and run reports o Print and calibration/bump certificates
And more to allow site specific requirements to be reflected
