They are an invasive species of plants that inhibit thecultivation and growth of local native or adaptive plants.

Regularly check irrigation systems, use drip, micromistsubsurface irrigation systems, smart irrigation controlle

computer-controlled system monitoring, zero irrigation plants or turf between months of November and April, zero irrigate of shrubs between September and April, amold prevention by designing systems to irrigate awayfrom buildings.

They are nonnative to the ecosystem and likely to causeharm once introduced. These species arecharacteristically adaptable and aggressive, have a highreproductive capacity, and tend to overrun theecosystems they enter. Collectively, they are among thegreatest threats to biodiversity and ecosystem stability.

They are adapted to a given area during a defined timeperiod and are not invasive. In North America, the termoften refers to plants growing in a region prior to the timof settlement by people of European descent.

Potable water meets or exceeds EPA’s drinking waterquality standards and is approved for humanconsumption by the state or local authorities having
