Welcome to the Middle East Maintenance Conference &

Exhibition 2010 (MaintCon 2010). Our theme for this first of

many future annual conferences is, “Managing Maintenance

for Operational Excellence”. MaintCon 2010 is organized bythe newly formed Gulf Society of Maintenance Professionals(GSMP) and the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE). The

conference will provide a unique platform for maintenance professionals to

network and to learn about the constantly evolving trends, technologies,

products, and solutions to the daily challenges of managing maintenance incomplex industrial environments.

MaintCon 2010 is the premier showcase for products and services that meetthe needs of the industrial sites and facilities in our region, which boasts one of

Call for papers

 Technical papers are invited on the topics outlined and other subjectsrelated to the theme of the conference. All abstracts should be forwarded

through the conference website i.e www.maintcon.org  or email:

[email protected].

 Abstracts should clearly state the subject matter, the objectives and the

important conclusions to be presented in the full paper and should not

exceed 400 words in length.

 The abstract must include the title of the paper, the author's name(s) and

the affiliation including the mailing and the email addresses. Selection of

papers will take into account the originality, relevance and likely interest todelegates. Guidelines for the submission of manuscript for review and the

preparation of final draft will be communicated upon the acceptance of

the abstract.

Conference Registration Fees The registration fee as mentioned below includes admission to all sessions & exhibition, a set of conferencematerials, three days lunches and one conference banquet dinner.

 

Conference & Venue The conference and exhibition will be held at the Gulf Hotel, Kingdom of Bahrain. The Gulf Hotel is a Five Star

facility and a landmark in Manama, just 10 minutes away from the Bahrain International Airport and 5 minutes

from the City Centre. The Gulf Hotel offers 366 well-furnished rooms of gracious style, uncompromising efficiency

and thoughtful technology. The Bahrain Conference & Exhibition Centre offers exhibition, meeting and

pre-function areas with state of the art facilities. The hotel houses many of Bahrain's leading restaurants.

Accommodation Information A block booking of rooms at the Gulf Hotel has been made for the participants during the conference period.Following are the Special rates. Please specify the conference name to get the special rate.

Exhibition

 An exhibition will be held in conjunction with the technical sessions within the conference venue. The

exhibition is intended to provide an opportunity for equipment, materials, and service providers to

display and demonstrate their products and services related to the maintenance field. Interestedorganizations are encouraged to participate by sponsoring the event and/or by taking part in the

exhibition (see the exhibition form). The exhibition stands are 3m wide and 2m deep with 2.5m

height. Stand fittings will consist of a octanorm type stand, two fluorescent lights, fascia board in

English, one electrical power point and sufficient tables and chairs. In addition each exhibitor will avail

the following benefits:

1) Exhibitors names will be published in the conference web site.

2) Exhibitors profile and logo will be included in the Conference Proceedings CD.

3) Advertising space will be available in the Exhibition Guide at a minimum cost, details will be provided

on request.

4) A brief resume (8 - 10 lines) of each exhibitor will be included in the official exhibition guide, which will

be circulated to all the participants.

5) Wide publicity will be given in the Gulf Region about the exhibition to attract regional and international

Industrial Companies and Government officials to visit the exhibition booths during the conference period.

6) Each exhibitor is entitled to one delegate attendance with full conference package

7) The best three exhibi tors wil l be selected and honored during the conference dinner. All other

exhibitors will also be honored with certificates.
