Induction is probably one of the safest method of cooking

as there is no flame, and the heat is confined to the area

under the pan. The instant heat plus the control of heat

Induction

Induction Hobs are gaining a following as they are more energy-efficient and the heat is easier to control; this

translates into better control over your cooking. A magnetic field is created between the hob surface and the bottom

of the pan which is placed on the hob. Thus, not only is the heating instant, it also means that only the area under

the pan gets heated and there is no wastage of energy. As soon as the pan is removed, the hob cools down. This too

saves energy and is also a safety feature, eliminating the risk of burns or accidents.

In today’s modular kitchens, a built-in hob is a natural choice. However as European cooking requires low

heat, most hobs are equipped with a number of low heat, sealed, single ring burners. As Indian cooking

requires much more heat for cooking and we are used to a double ring of flame in all burners, we find

European sealed burners very slow and time consuming, and a problem to use. This problem is now past as
