Curing cancer is certainly one of the big challenges of the 21st century. Our knowledge of cancer has greatly improved in the last two decades. This has revealed the huge variability that can be found between not only different types of cancer, but also between patients with the same type of cancer. It seems increasingly evident that there won't be a single 'cure'. Rather, each patient will be treated accordingly to their specific needs. But for personalized medicine to become a reality, we need a range of therapies wide enough to cover the whole spectrum of cancer.
The New approaches to tame the immune system in the fight against cancer are getting us closer to a future where technology will change cancer care and becomes a curable disease. Personalized vaccines, cell therapy, gene editing and microbiome treatments and many such technologies will contribute substantially in cancer care.
About GHCO
Executive Chairman - HCG
Novel concepts have been emerging to improve the traditional therapeutic options in cancers, new therapeutic strategies involving areas like energy metabolism and extracellular vesicles along with advances in immunotherapy and nanotechnology are driving the next generation of cancer treatments. The development of fields such as theranostics, cancer therapeutics, emerging technologies, nanomedicine, computational imaging, cellular stress, radiosensitizing, exosomes, nanomedicine is also opening new doors for targeted drug delivery. Here we, Australia, India, Malaysia and Singapore come together to discuss how we can take a moon shot in technologies that can change the future of cancer care. We invite Government, Academia, Research Centres, Healthcare Organisations, Clinicians, Industry and VC to participate engage in these discussion which will lay a foundation for innovation in the region.

For more than 20 years, illumina has aspired to improve human health by unlocking the power of the genome. Now, through innovation and collaboration with pathologists, hematologists, and oncologists, we are enabling genomic breakthroughs in immunotherapy, biomarker discovery, and therapy selection. As we move towards precision medicine, we have only just begun to discover the true impact of genomics. Bring cancer into focus with comprehensive genomic profiling- simultaneously assess multiple biomarkers in numerous tumor types with a single NGS assay.
