For over 20 years now, the Greater Massena
Ministerial Council (GMMA) has sponsored and
organized the SOS Walk to support our local food pantries and
hunger initiatives.
This Sunday is the day for this year’s SOS Walk (more in-
formation elsewhere in the bulletin!). Thanks to everyone who
has been so kind and generous so as to sponsor me as a walker in
Sunday’s event. If you haven’t had a chance to sponsor me, you
can after Masses, or just call and stop by at the rectory. Or bet-
ter yet—join the SOS Walk yourself, or sponsor your relatives
or friends. Last year, St. Vincent DePaul provided more than
230,000 meals—add in the Neighborhood Center and Salvation
Army and the number gets up to almost 400,000. They’ll all
benefit from the SOS Walk - so thanks again!

As the Bishop's Fund Appeal continues, we ask you to
prayerfully consider giving to this important fund! Why? It
affects Trinity Catholic and our students directly. Each of
our students who qualifies for the Tuition Assistance Pro-
gram receives approximately $620 per year, with over 35
students at TCS and 351 students diocesan-wide, receiving
this much-needed aid. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Share the Wisdom/Grandparents Day
Trinity Catholic is excited about Share the Wisdom/
Grandparents Day, which will be happening Wednesday,
October 26.
Guests may arrive 8:30-9:00 and meet for coffee and an
overview of the morning in the Dining Hall. Guests will
then pick up students and bring them to Sacred Heart
Church for a Prayer Service at 9:15. Following the Service,
guests and students will head back to the school, where they
can pick and choose which stations they would like to
visit. These stations include the Book Fair, Brunch (which
should be paid for ahead of time), Heritage, Reading, Fam-
ily Quilt, Photo “Booth,” Chapel, Arts and Crafts, and
Moving in the Gym. The day ends at 11:30 with dismissal
for all students. This is always a favorite day at Trinity and
they look forward to seeing all of their wise guests! Many will also be excited to hear that the school’s world-
famous peanut butter bars will be available for purchase in
the Dining Hall!

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY
COLLECTION THIS WEEK There was/is some confusion about the annual
World Mission Sunday second collection. The enve-
lope users may have found that it had last week’s date
on the WMS Collection envelope . . . But the Bishop’s
letter and other promotional materials stated that the
collection is to take place this weekend. Our second
collection this weekend will benefit the missions
through our Diocesan Mission Office. We are sorry
for the confusion—if you dropped your envelope into
the collection last week, thanks! You can be sure it
will go to benefit the missions. If you aren’t ready to
participate in this week’s second collection, you’re
most welcome to drop your WMS collection envelope
in a future weekend’s collection and it will be directed
to our Mission Office. Thank you for your generosity
in supporting Catholic Missionaries throughout the
world!
