City Code: Article XI - Parks and Playgrounds§ 471.01 - CONTROL AND SUPERVISION BY DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECRE-ATION. The Department of Parks and Recreation shall be responsible for the control and supervision of all city recreational facilities including but not limited to parks, play-grounds, ballfi elds, dedicated greenways, and recreation centers. For purposes of this Title, a greenway is defi ned as a permanent, passive open space that serves to benefi t adjacent neighborhoods and the general public that is either dedicated or being studied or planned for designation as such (as kept on a list maintained by the Department of Finance and available to the public upon request).
