It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to Larry Oney, a permanent deacon for the Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans serving at Divine Mercy Parish in Kenner, Louisiana. Deacon Oney is the Chairman of HGI Global. He lives in the New Orleans area with his wife Andi. Deacon Oney’s dynamic preaching style and message of hope has led to hundreds of speaking engagements across the globe; from Europe to Africa to Brazil to Canada and throughout the United States. Over thirty years of experience making critical business decisions while helping to awaken the faith of others has uniquely equipped Deacon Oney to present lively, invigorating, knowledgeable, and Spirit-filled presentations.

Actively involved in the community, Deacon Oney serves on the Board of Directors for Renewal Ministries, serves on the Board of Trustees for Franciscan University, and is a member of the New Orleans Chapter of Legatus—an international group of Catholic CEOs and their spouses. Deacon Oney also serves on the Board of Regents for University of Holy Cross and is the founder and president of Hope and Purpose Ministries.

The mission of Hope and Purpose Ministries is to par-ticipate in the New Evangelization through preaching, teaching, and the use of excellent media initiatives. Deacon Oney is working to further his global ministry to proclaim the Kingdom of God (Matthew 10:7), encourage others that God has a plan and purpose for their lives (Jeremiah 29:11), and to help heal the broken-hearted (John 10:10b).

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we request Mr. Oney to speak at our event?

We recommend submitting your Speaker Request at least six (6) months in advance of your event. While we do try to accommodate every Speaker Request, Mr. Oney has events booked up to three (3) years in advance, so dates can be limited.

How long will you hold a date while we are planning an event?

We can only hold a tentative date if we are working on a contract. The date or dates of your event will only be placed permanently on our calendar once we have a signed Speaker’s Agreement. We recommend that you have a list of possible dates for the event before contacting us.

How do we book Mr. Oney to speak at our event?

Once you have confirmed the location and dates for your event, the event organizer should fill out the Speaker Request form on www.hopeandpurpose.org. We will contact you to discuss the opportunity, usually within 48 hours. If your dates are confirmed, we recommend checking Deacon Oney’s calendar on our website for possible availability.

I am an organizer of a Christian event that is not at a Catholic Church, is it still possible to book Deacon Oney to speak at our event?

Yes! We are all Christians and are working to build the Kingdom of God. Deacon Oney has often spoken at other Christian events and depending on his schedule, will consider each request individually.

Do we have to generate a list of topics for Deacon Oney to present or are those already determined?

Event hosts can submit potential topics of interest or request one of the topics listed in this informational kit. If you have a particular topic you would like Deacon Oney to speak on that fits the theme of your event, we are more than happy to consider it. However, if you would like suggestions on what topic might best fit your event, we can offer those as well.
