Girls are often taller than boys at the start of
puberty but by the end of puberty the average
boy is taller.
Girls may gain body fat early in puberty but
later in adolescence they lose the extra weight as
they take on a more womanly shape.
Acne results from the skin becoming too greasy due to
active sebaceous glands.
Pimples etc are a result of clogged pores.
Regular cleaning of the skin and a healthy diet
will help control pimples.
Breaking of the voice is a natural process in which the larynx and
vocal cords enlarge.
Menstruation is a natural part of being a woman
and indicates that she is able to produce children.
The first period marks the beginning of puberty
for the female.
