Tsavo West is one of the largest national parks in Kenya and due its vast size it covers a variety of landscapes ranging from swamps, natural springs and rocky peaks to extinct volcanoes, rolling plains and sharp outcrops dusted with greenery. FEBRUARY 18:

featuring Buffalos, Bushbuck, Elands, Giraffes, Hartebeest, Impala, Leopards, Lions, Oryx, Wildebeest and many more. Over 500 bird species habitats to the area, making Tsavo a bird spotters paradise.

FEBRUARY 19:

Drive to Amboseli National Park, we will spend the day in Amboseli National Park on both morning and afternoon game drives. Although not part of Tanzania, Amboseli sits at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro offering some of the most incredible views of Africa’s highest mountain. The park is made up of low scrubby vegetation and open grassy plains which allow for easy game viewing. Over 900 free-ranging elephants call the park home and as such, Amboseli is famed for its elephant viewing (rated as one of the best in the world). Other animals such as buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, giraffes and zebras are not uncommon in the park.

FEBRUARY 20:

Drive to Lake Elementaita - After breakfast you will be collect-ed for the day’s drive which will take you past the Aberdares mountain range to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, your desti-nation is the Soysambu Ranch where Lake Elementaita Serena is located. The ecosystem, being part of the Great Rift Valley and with the presence of the alkaline lake of Elementaita sup-ports lots of bird life as well as plains game. Lunch will be at the camp before an afternoon game drive in the Soysambu Conservancy.

FEBRUARY 21:

Drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve today offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. A lunch stop

is made at Keekorok. This afternoon you will visit a tradi-tional Masai Village and get to learn about their culture.

Overnight Mara Engai Wilderness Lodge (Full board).

FEBRUARY 22:

Full day in Masai Mara - An early wake-up call this morn-ing before you embark on a game drive and later proceed to the appointed site for Hippo pool breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure followed by lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon experience another game drive in the Masai Mara National Park.

Overnight Mara Engai Wilderness Lodge (Full board).

FEBRUARY 23:

Fly from the Masai Mara to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Our GSA Kenya FAM concludes today. Please consider extend-ing your stay by participating in the ASTA Destination Expo in Nairobi (www.asta.org/ADE ) or Hakuna Matata for your onward journey home.
