The seas have always played an important role and shaped the life and the development of
land dwellers.
In this project the special information about the various seas and their meaning shall be
worked out. In this context the “communication through surfing the Internet" will play a
special role.
For the pupils the knowledge about the seas, the culture and the economy/tourism gives a
broad picture. Through the cooperation of the 16 coastal countries and the associated
partners the pupils have the possibility to acquire knowledge about their own geographical
place in a wider context.
This has a special relevance for the pupils’ further education.
