rvd 071510 Cal oCHO is a liquid calcium fertilizer that can be used as a foliar or water run source of calcium to help prevent and correct nutrient deficiencies that may limit crop growth and yields. Cal oCHO is a supplement to an adequate and balanced soil fertility program. It is important to monitor crop needs and responses by maintaining an adequate tissue testing program. When unfamiliar with the effects of foliar applications of calcium it is recommended to perform small scale field trials. Mixing Directions - Be sure spray tank is thoroughly cleaned, fill 1/3 full with clean water, add product and continue filling with agitation. Always add this product to tank before adding pesticides. Compatibility - Always do compatibility tests before mixing with phosphate products. If any precipitation occurs, it may be necessary to add a compatibility agent. Consult your Source To Source dealer for more information. Applications - Cal oCHO can be applied by ground and aerial equipment, drip or overhead irrigation systems. Dilution and Spray Volumes - Always use enough water for uniform application and to prevent possible plant tissue damage to the intended crop from concentrated droplets. For every 1 gallon of Cal oCHO, dilute with 15 - 200 gallons of water. Optimum rate of application will vary between fields depending on soil and/or climatic conditions, stage of crop growth and size of plants. Application rates are best determined by soil and plant analysis recommendations. Cal oCHO can be used on many crops where foliar or water calcium applications are commonly used. Consult your Source To Source dealer for specific recommendations. Field Crops: Apply 1 to 8 quarts/acre during periods of rapid growth or nutritional stress. Cal oCHO may be applied at 10 to 14 day intervals. Vegetable Crops: Foliar rate is 2-8 quarts/acre. Drip rate is 2-12 quarts/acre. Apply Cal oCHO throughout canopy development and/or during rapid fruit growth and development. Drip apply Cal oCHO during periods of rapid root development. Tree Crops: Foliar & Drip Applications; Apply 2 to 12 quarts/acre to actively growing foliage or in drip water. Repeat applications may be made in 10 to 21 day intervals. Do not apply foliar applications of Cal oCHO under poor drying conditions or in excess heat. Grape Vines & Canes: Apply 1 to 12 quarts/acre of Cal oCHO after active vegetative growth begins and prior to bloom. Applications may be repeated in 7 to 14 day intervals. NOTE - For maximum results buffer all tank mixes containing Cal oCHO to a final pH of 6.0-7.0. When tank mixing Cal oCHO with pesticides requiring specific pH ranges, always follow pesticide label directions.
