2. How many platform integrations do we get?

1. How long does the product build take?

The product build takes six to eight weeks from the discovery call, based on us having received all agreed information for integration and customization.

The “Further Reading” section can be updated periodically in line with your organization’s current focus areas (for example, change management, performance appraisals, and so on).

When you want to update this section, send a list of between six and 30 resources to your Client Success Manager who will make the changes for you. Or, specify a focus area that you want to concentrate on and the resources can be selected on your behalf. Please allow up to three working days for these updates to be made. Once live, the list will refresh each time a page loads.

If you do not wish to customize the “Further Reading” section it will automatically be updated with the most popular corporate resources across the 12 key skill areas.

The color scheme (for example, background, banners, text, icons) is part of the wider Mind Tools template that all learners (including consumer and corporate) can see and therefore cannot currently be changed.

One integration is included in your subscription, but if you would like to explore the option of further integrations please speak with your Client Success Manager for more information.

6. How many custom pages are included?

We can create six custom pages in total for your organization. We reccommend including these two pages as a minimum:

• Welcome/Getting Started: A welcome message that explains your key objectives and how Mind Tools can help your learners, so that they’re excited and engaged from day one.

• Competency Mapping: A selection of resources mapped to your organization’s competency framework (if you have one) to ensure learning is linked to your strategy.

Other example custom pages include:

• Values: A selection of resources that align with your organization’s core values, to help drive the attitudes and behaviours that you want to see within your organization.

• Team/Level Focus: A selection of resources for specific groups of people, such as new starters or senior managers, whose needs might be different to those of the majority of your other learners.

• Pre/Post-Course Work: A selection of resources to accompany any face-to-face training sessions that you are holding.

• Event Page: To support any upcoming events, competitions or holidays.

• Detailed Focus Page: A smaller version of the Competency Mapping pages described above, these focus on specific subject areas and usually include a selection of three to six key resources.

• Top Ten: The top ten most popular resources based on what your learners viewed during the previous month.

We recommend staggering the release of custom pages during your subscription. This will give you more of an opportunity to promote new pages to your learners and boost engagement in the longer term. We also recommend working with your Client Success Manager to update existing custom pages regularly. This will help to keep these pages fresh and relevant to your learners. A particularly good way of doing this is by creating a monthly focus area.

In addition to your custom pages, the following pages will be displayed in the green box if you choose toactivate these features:

• Personal Learning Plan: If your integration provides us with unique identifiers, you can choose for your learners to have access to their own Personal Learning Plans. They can use these to keep a “To-Do” List and a “Completed” List of resources that they want to explore.

• Mind Tools App: This page guides learners through the login process for the Corporate app.

Depending on the number of pages you have, the green box will show three, six, or nine icons on the home page. If you have any gaps, they will automatically be filled with the “Test Yourself” and “What’s New” pages:

12. What are deep links and how can resources be shared?

13. How do I get Mind Tools resources to appear in my wider platform’s search results?

We can provide you with a resource directory, which is an online JSON file, containing all of the information about every resource that Mind Tools has (title, skill area, deep link, etc). You can also download this as a .CSV file.

This information can be fed into any search functionality that you have on your platform, allowing Mind Tools resources to be visible when people search for a term.

As the file is online, it will automatically update as we add resources, reducing the need for ongoing administration.

To request this, please speak with your Client Success Manager who will send you a guide on “Using the Resource Directory” to pass on to the relevant technical contact in your organization.

What is a Deep Link?

Each page within your product has a unique deep link, which can be used to direct colleagues to it. This ensures that the end user is taken straight to the intended page, without needing to sign in.

Where Are the Deep Links?

They are located within the “Share” function, which can be found next to the resource title or in the page footer.

Please note that simply using the URL will not work.

Using the Share Function From the Footer:
