Guidelines for the Secure Distribution of Narcotic and Controlled Drugs in Hospitals The Bureau of Dangerous Drugs, the Canadian Hospital Association, the Canadian Nurses Association and the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists created the following guidelines in January 1990. These guidelines still stand as of this posting. The stated objective of the guideline is to provide advice on procedures and record keeping in relation to narcotic and controlled drugs. Questions?
