Guidelines to pray for the church It is important to note that when we study the state of the church, our AIM IS NEVER to criticise, but to yield our hearts and join Christ in intercession who make these things known to us. Therefore – if you notice some instances to be true of your own life and/or leaders or your congregation – it is for this very reason that we pray for God’s will to be established - NOT to join Satan in accusation, BUT Christ in intercession.

Guidelines to pray for the churchIt is important to note that when we study the

state of the church, our AIM IS NEVER to criticise, but to yield our hearts and join Christ in

intercession who make these things known to us. Therefore – if you notice some instances to be true of your own life and/or leaders or your congregation – it is for this very reason that we pray for God’s will to be established - NOT to

join Satan in accusation, BUT Christ in intercession.

We complain about the cross we bear, but do not realize it is preparing us for the dip in

the road that God can see and we cannot!

CRY OUT TO GOD FOR A GREATER CAPACITY TO PERSEVERE

The secret behind the ‘key’Isa 22:22: The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; So he shall open, and no one shall shut; And he shall shut, and no one shall open. I will fasten him as a peg in a secure place, And he will become a glorious throne to his father's house. 'They will hang on him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the posterity, all vessels of small quantity, from the cups to all the pitchers.

2 Kinds of standing/fastening1. GODLY COMMISSIONING e.g.:

– Prompting of the Holy Spirit to tell someone something / do something for someone on a daily basis.

– Short term outreach to a country, town, city, prayer journey.

– Prayer initiative / outreach initiative e.g. soup kitchen etc.

2. LIFE LONG COMMITMENT: Another kind of ‘standing’ starts on the day you commit your life to Christ.

3. REMAIN STANDING: Don’t give up because of ‘feelings’. Get a spiritual mentor/prayer partner!

TAKE UP THE KEYS GOD GAVE YOURev 3:7-12 NKJ: … Philadelphia… “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and

shuts and no one opens": “… I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My

name. … Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial

which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. … Hold fast what you have,

that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he

shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New

Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

• He that is true – Cannot lie, both God and man, Word that became flesh to show/reveal God.
