The adult Ladybug can eat up to 100 aphids a day. (Since aphids make a sug-ary liquid, that’s like drink-ing 100 sodas!)

A queen bee can lay up

to 1,500 eggs in a day. (Mamma mia!)

The ratio of people to ants is 1 to 1million. (And the ants go marching one by one!)

HealthyHealthySafer sushi for soon to be moms

Pregnant women are warned to stay away from sushi because it could contain parasites that rob your body of nutrients and can make you ill.

That doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in some of the cooked sushi dishes.

California rolls, made with avocado, cucumber and cooked crab meat are often the standard for “sushi beginners” and are safe for pregnant women. But you

can also enjoy cooked eel (unagi and anago), grilled squid (ika) or octopus (tako).

You can also make a meal out of shrimp, as long as it’s not sweet shrimp (ama ebi) which isn’t cooked.

If it’s on the menu, load up on seaweed salad as an appetizer—it’s rich in calcium, iron, niacin, and thiamine.
