Koala Smart Day A class group report….. On Thursday 19 September Hannam Vale and Huntingdon Public Schools went to Herons Creek Public School for a Koala Smart collaboration. We went to paint our Koala Sculptures and rotate around activities about koalas. These included robotics, yoga, chalk drawing, origami and a Kahootz quiz. Students participated in all the activities.

One of the highlights was the sumo wrestling Edison robots. The challenge was to design a robot that protected the koala from falling out of the robot. Some people were happy defending their koalas and others chose a strategy of attack. They decided that, ‘A good offence is a good defence’.

Moorland Soccer Gala Day

On Friday the 20th of September all schools in the Manning region joined in to have a soccer gala day at Moorland Soccer Field. The schools that were there were Herons Creek, Harrington, Moorland, Mitchell’s Island, Lansdowne, Coopernook and last but not least Hannam Vale. Each school had four games for each team. At some point during the day it rained and everything got wet but other than that it was fine. Everyone that had a lunch order could either get a hot dog or a sausage sizzle and for a drink you could get a popper or a water. The overall winner for the day was Moorland Public School. By Brooke Rowley and Andie Maguire

And the prize for the cutest spectator goes to…..
