FRI 6AM-8AM Workshop: Discovering Bandhas - A New Look At Primary Series
Mula Bandha and Uddiyana Bandha are important keys to the asana practice. This Primary Series class will bring focus to what these “energetic locks” really are and how they can be used to create a greater sense of lightness, balance, and ease of movement. Learn to cultivate a deeper understanding and awareness of bandhas in your practice.
FRI 6:30-8:30PM Workshop: What is Sadhana? Cultivating a spiritual practice in the Modern World
In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali gives us three essential components to Sadhana that address issues arising in the body, mind and spirit. Using the Sutras as a guide, we will see how these ancient techniques are relate to our current practice of yoga. Talk & practice.

SAT 2-4PM Workshop: Fundamentals for a Pain-Free Backbend
We will look at what is Yoga Chikitsa & Nadi Shodana, and they can be used to purify our energy channels. What kinds of physical & psychological preparations do we need to do to prepare for Intermediate Series. We will explore some back-bending enhancements: looking at the principles of opening the heart, being vulnerable, and the importance to cultivate great strength in the foundation of our lives (and legs).

SUN 2:30–4:30PM Meditation & Talk: Kaivalya - The Ultimate Goal of Yoga
Kaivalya is the ultimate goal of our yoga practice. Patanjali talks about several ways to cultivate more clarity and concentration in the Yoga Sutras. We will describe these various methods of mindfulness and close with a form of “Metta Meditation” to help increase an overall sense of well-being, and loving-kindness directed towards both yourself and others.
