Dr. Nguyen Tai Hung Head of The Accordion Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music

Nguyen Tai Hung was born in Hanoi. -In 1988 he graduated from the Moscow Gnessin State Musical College

(Bachelor degree) as accordionist, class of Honored Artist of Russia V. Motov; as conductor the russian orchestra, class of People’s Artist of Russia V. Kozhukhar.

-In 1993 he graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (Master's degree of Fine Art), class of Professor, People’s Artist of Russia Yury Dranga.

-In 2007, he successfully defended his PhD thesis on The Accordion Transcription and Accordion Orchestra Arrangements at Vietnam National Academy of Music.

- From 1996 to present: Nguyen Tai Hung is Lecturer, Head of The Accordion Department of Vietnam National Academy of Music. Among the student;: Nguyen Quynh Chi (2nd Prize, Accordion International Competition in Reinach, Switzerland, 2009 and 7th place at 67th Accordion Mondial Trophee in France, 2017); Pham Ngoc Minh Chau (3rd prize, 9th International Music Competition, Serbie, 2018).

- He has played many concerts, both solo and in chamber groups, as well as a conductor with VNAM accordion orchestra in main concert halls in Vietnam.

- Member of Jury for The CMA Trophee Mondial de l’Accordeon in France 2017. - Member of Jury for The 9th International Music Competition, Serbie, 2018 - General secretary for the Vietnam National Academy of Music - a voting

member of The Confederation Internationale des Accodeonistes (CIA) since 2003. - Dr. Nguyen Tai Hung represent Vietnam delegation to be a member of

Confédération Mondiale de l'Accordéon (CMA) since 2017.
