IntroductionBrowns Health & Safety have been supporting companies and training their staff since 1997.

Based in Leicestershire and operating throughout the UK, we provide a truly comprehensive range of Health & Safety consultancy and training services suitable for the largest and smallest organisations. Our success is a combination of technical expertise, a wealth of experience and a practical, hands-on approach.

All of our Consultants have a minimum of NEBOSH qualification and are continually expanding their knowledge base by working towards Diplomas or qualifications within their specialised areas, so you can be sure of their competence.

Consultancy:We offer a full range of health and safety support ranging from general advice, through to initial reviews and assistance with the design and implementation of a full health and safety management system which includes site inspections, policies, safe working practices and risk assessments.

We are able to offer an hourly rate for one-off services, such as the provision of documentation or an annual contract which in addition to the services above

will provide you with your ‘competent person’ under the Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. Our contracted services are agreed in consultation with you and are therefore a specific package arranged in accordance with your individual requirements and with an appropriate level of support.

Our clients enjoy the benefits of both a dedicated personal consultant to manage and deliver their contracted services, and also the additional support and expertise of all the advisors at Browns.

Before quoting for consultancy services, it is our policy to visit potential clients at their own premises for an initial assessment; this is completely free of charge and is on a strictly no obligation basis. (Initial meetings last for approximately 30mins – 1 hour).

Health and Wellbeing:At Browns, we acknowledge that historically the focus of health and safety in the workplace has tended to be towards safety. Fortunately, the importance of health and wellbeing is now widely recognised.

We take a holistic approach in the way we support our clients; many of whom are small

businesses, needing guidance as they start to grow and develop and our hand-holding approach can make that process less stressful.

Looking after the health and wellbeing of employees, colleagues and ourselves is intrinsic to personal happiness, performance and relationships. Our clinical reflexology services offer innovative options for assistance with the management of wellbeing and stress in the workplace.

Our consultants are all trained in the management of health and wellbeing and are also qualified mental health first aiders.

Training:We offer a wide range of in-house and accredited courses at either our training centre in Lutterworth or at your own premises.

Our highly professional trainers have many years of practical operational experience in their specialist areas, which means delegates get a good mix of real-world know how and examples blended in to each course. We can also create tailored courses for our clients to help them meet their individual organisation’s requirements.

Face Fit TestingQualitative Face Fit Testing of Disposable Masks and Half Masks

According to UK legislation, all UK employees who wear tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE), should have a certificate to prove that the protective equipment they are using fits them correctly and is protecting them effectively for the task they are performing.

It is a legal requirement that any RPE supplied by an Employer is fit tested with the wearer.

As people come in all sorts of shapes and sizes it is unlikely that one particular type or mask will fit everyone. The Consultants at Browns Health & Safety are qualified to carry out qualitative Face Fit Testing to meet the requirements of the HSE OC 282/28 Document.

Each person is tested using a Qualitative test kit, with each individual then being awarded a Fit test record for the mask type used in the test (subject to a successful testing and a positive test result).

Clinical Reflexology Services

Information and Treatment prices

What is reflexology?Reflexology is a holistic complementary therapy that aids relaxation and can help to improve wellbeing. It is based on the theory that there is a map of reflex points on the feet (hands, face and ears) that correspond to all areas of the body, it’s organs and systems. By stimulating these reflex points, practitioners believe that natural healing responses can be encouraged in the corresponding parts of the body and systems.

What are the potential benefits of reflexology?By allowing your body to relax, it is possible to interrupt the ‘fight or flight’ body system responses to stress which if experienced for long periods of time can be detrimental to our health. Long term stress can cause anxiety, irritability and insomnia, feelings of mental and physical exhaustion. For many people, reflexology encourages a state of deep relaxation, giving their body systems the opportunity to re-balance and allow natural healing to occur.

Although there isn’t yet a large enough body of evidence to make clinical claims about the full range of benefits associated with reflexology, there are many research

projects suggesting positive outcomes in relation to improved health and wellbeing.

Our in-house full-time qualified clinical reflexologist is trained to deliver tailored and bespoke treatment plans to support individual needs.
