Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Introduction: The SSSTS course is designed for first line managers or those preparing to undertake a site supervision role, typically supervisors, gangers, team leaders and foremen. At this stage in their career they will need to learn about monitoring the safety practices of groups of operatives. Objectives: This course is designed to prepare candidates for the SMSTS and/or Supervisor Specialist Skills Course. Who Should Attend: Site supervision role, typically supervisors, gangers, team leaders and foremen. Programme: Health and Safety Law Developing a health and safety management system Risk assessments and method statements Accidents and first aid Working at height CDM 2015 Excavations and buried services Confined spaces Lifting operations Work equipment and Electrical safety Fire prevention and control Welfare facilities on site Occupational health Hazardous substances PPE Manual handling Duration: 2 Days NOTE: On successful completion of the course, delegates will receive certification from CITB. Employers can claim a CITB grant to offset the cost of employees attending eligible training courses; however employers must be in scope and registered with CITB-Construction Skills at the time of training.
