Conference DescriptionCleveland Clinic’s Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute has been ranked No. 1 in heart care for 21 straight years by U.S. News & World Report and is a leader in quality professional education. It is our pleasure to host, in collaboration with the Heart Rhythm Society Allied Professional Community of Practice, a comprehensive overview of Electrophysiology. This is a must attend conference featuring presentations by leading experts in the field. This CME event will provide a complete overview of current trends, ideas and innovations in heart rhythm care, offering a review of basic and advanced device therapy, outpatient management of arrhythmias, and care of the patient in the EP lab. The conference is designed to provide comprehensive, quality education for allied professionals at any point along their career path. The program provides opportunities for one-on-one discussions with leading experts, panelists, and fellow colleagues.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

• Describe the programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CIEDs

• Describe optimal management of the heart rhythm patient in the outpatient area and Electrophysiology Lab

• Identify inherited arrhythmia syndromes and explain optimal patient management

• Compare and contrast medications used to treat heart rhythm disorders

• Explain the heart-brain connection and identify strategies to address patient concerns

• Recognize new and upcoming technology including leadless pacemakers, S-ICD, and left atrial appendage occlusion devices

Parking Parking is available in the East 100th Street / Carnegie Avenue visitor’s parking garage. Parking will be validated for the day of the conference only. Bring your ticket in with you. Cleveland Clinic main campus caregivers are expected to park in their assigned parking location.

Accreditation This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 7.25 hours of AAPA Category I (Preapproved) CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Physician Assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity. This program was planned in accordance with AAPA’s CME Standards for Live Programs and for Commercial Support of Live Programs. Category 1 CME credits count toward continuing nursing education hours.
