Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) is a serious health problem that can cause a combination of physical and mental defects that are a result of a woman drinking alcohol while she is pregnant.

FAS can also cause long-term behavioral problems. Kids with FAS often have problems getting along with others, and act out. This leads to problems at home, in school and the law. They are also at a greater risk of future drug addiction.
