The next outing will be held at the Gold Basin claim on the weekend of Septem-ber 26-27. The club sponsored dinner will consist of brisket. Dinner will be served on Saturday at 4:00pm. Attendees are asked to bring a dish for 10 to compli-ment the main course to pass around. Sun-day brunch will con-sist of eggs, bacon, and sausage. Brunch will be served at 9:00am.The raffle tickets for the Royal drywasher sold out. The winner of the drywasher is

Minutes

The GSSN met on Wednesday September 2, 2020 at the McCaw School of Mines in Henderson Nv.

The President called the meeting to order at 6:40pm and led with the pledge of allegiance. Offic-

ers present was the President John Anderson, Vice President Ken Quick, Secretary Melinda Wool-

man, Treasurer Mark Hedges, Membership Chairman Eric Smith, and the raffle officer Ron Radu-

enz. John welcomed all 39 signed in with 6 guests. John reminded the members to check their

email messages and the web site before leaving for a club activity due to the possible cancella-

tions. John reminded the members of the next general meeting October 7, 2020.Members were

reminded of the remaining raffle tickets for the Royal drywasher. Before the meeting ended all of

the tickets were sold out. The winning ticket was drawn and the lucky winner as Keith Nari. Con-

grats to Keith. John asked for a motion to accept the minutes as posted in the August Highgrader.

Roger Chavez made such motion which was seconded by Gail Chavez. All were in favor and the

motion passed. Treasurer Mark Hedges presented the treasurers report for the month of August,

2020. Don Goodwin made a motion to accept the treasurers report and was seconded by Kay

Scheel. All were in favor and the motion passed. Membership chairman Eric Smith provided the

membership numbers for August 2020 which showed 13 new members, 12 renewals, 9 dropped

for a total of 373 active members. The next outing will be held at the Gold Basin Claims on Sep-

tember 26-27. There is a sign up sheet on the front desk or RSVP on the website. The food will be

brisket served on Saturday at 4:00pm. Sundays brunch will be served at 9:00am consisting of eggs,

bacon, and sausage. There will tentatively be a club meeting in Meadview across from the VFW on

September 25 at 3:00pm. Check the website as the meeting has not been confirmed. Ken provided

further explanation on the new membership annual dues starting in January. George showed vide-

os of flash floods to keep members aware of what could happen. George then provided a descrip-

tion of the raffle table. After s short break the raffle was held. After the raffle Rogers Chavez made

a motion to adjourn and was seconded by Don Goodwin. All were in favor and the meeting ad-

journed at 8:10pm.
