HJS VALUES New values are introduced each month in
assembly. The school will then explore elements of these values through a
variety of methods and groupings during
the week. This month the values are
KINDNESS AND RESILIENCE
A MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF
SCHOOL
‘Do not dwell in the past, do not dream
of the future, concentrate the mind on
the present’ This week has been our Healthy Body,
Healthy Mind week which has enabled
the whole school to focus on enhancing the offer within school for supporting
learners and their mental health and
wellbeing. The pupils have enjoyed Tai Chi, Mindfulness and Zones of Regulation
sessions as well as an inspiring assembly
by two of our year 5 pupils. HJS are not
only extremely proud of our academic achievements but also the wider
curriculum which is offered to all pupils.
Mr. James
HEALTHY BODY, HEALTHY MIND
This week, we have been celebrating
'Healthy Body, Healthy Mind' week. With
our continuing focus on supporting mental health and well-being, all the classes have
taken part in Tai Chi workshops. In the
classroom, daily mindfulness lessons have been giving the children the
opportunity to develop their mindful
techniques. We have also shared our Vision for Well Being with the children.
Mrs Aarons and Mrs Woolf
We also had an outstanding pupil voice
assembly by Poppy Perkins and Flo
Gardener on mental and physical health.

CHRISTMAS
POST BOX
The box for children to post their Christmas cards to their friends in HJS will be on
display in the reception area from Monday
2nd December. Please make sure your child marks the envelope clearly with the
1st name, surname and class of the
recipient, to avoid cards not being able to be
delivered.
YEAR 6 CHRISTMAS MARKET We are delighted to inform you that Year 6
will be holding their annual Christmas Market
extravaganza on Friday 13th December.
This is a brilliant event which is organised and run by the children with a goal of raising
money for their end of year celebrations.
Pupils in Years 3 to 5 will visit the market from 1.30-2.45pm. To participate they will
need money (no more than £6 in change)
in a named purse/wallet. Open to parents from 3.15-4.00pm.
THANK YOU
We have a magnificent tree in reception which was beautifully decorated by Mrs
Glynn (ex-member of staff). It would
outshine any tree in a Harrods window!!
FOOTBALL
Under 11 Hampton and Richmond Borough
football club tournament.
Girls played 3 games and won 1. Boys won all 3 games and the tournament.
