TEMPTATION

Lent is a period of renewal and a time of reconciliation. During the period of Lent, the Holy

Mother the Church sets aside the most important themes for our reflection. Today the Church

invites us to reflect on temptation. The first reading tells us of the unfaithful man who lets himself

to be seduced by the devil and chooses to rebel against God’s will. This man destroys his own

self and condemns himself to a perpetual unhappiness.

The second reading describes the disobedience and the behavior of the first man, Adam, in contrast

with that of the second man, Jesus, who is the obedient Son of the Father. The Gospel describes

the temptations that Jesus had to face in his mission of salvation, and it wants us to reflect on our

own temptations which are not much different from that of Jesus.

Blessings!

¡Bendiciones!
