Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time 2

“Pastor’s Weekend Message”

Let us move forward with full confidence and

trust in God. I am excited for Holy Family because a bet-

ter and brighter future lies just ahead which includes get-

ting our new location ready. Our parish continues to move

forward in doing some initial work. Pastorally and spiritu-

ally, this is a very good idea. I have full confidence that

the Holy Spirit is calling our church to move forward. All

is possible for all those who trust and have confidence in

God. I also have full confidence in Holy Family that we

can do this. Our Building Development Committee con-

tinues to work very closely to clean and clear our acquired

Tully/Bangs property. However, we must also continue

working very prudently and diligently to cover all the oth-

er necessary requirements. We rely on the guidance of our

Pastoral and Finance Councils. For our part, as parishion-

ers, we must do the following: We must continue to grow

in our membership because Holy Family needs to be

known and visited by new people. Also, as permanent

members, we are responsible for helping Holy Family in

its financial needs. I realize that all of us are struggling to

make ends meet and for this reason the Church relies

heavily on your offerings. In fact, to continue our

Church’s operational budget, I am encouraging each one

of you to consider being more generous with your Sunday

offertory. At the end of the day, if we are called to build a

new Church the responsibility lies on us. We are to be the

ones who ought to give more generously to and for Holy

Family. On another pastoral note, I want to express my

sincere gratitude to all who were able to come to our Fes-

tival. Thank you for all your prayers, help and support.

Our Mass of Hope and Healing with reception of the Sac-

rament of Anointing of the Sick was a blessed success to

our parishioners. As we do God’s holy will here on earth,

may the Lord continue to bless each one of you.

Have a blessed week, Fr. Juan – your Pastor

parroquia a seguir adelante.

ustedes. Bendiciones, Padre Juan, su párroco TRIBUNAL NEWS! Anyone seeking to obtain any information regarding an annulment of a previous marriage please contact Eileen Nicholson, Tribunal Aide at (209) 345-3745.

October is the month of the Holy Rosary and this entire month is dedicated to the Rosary. The feast day of the Holy Rosary in particular is October 7th in memory of the glorious and triumphant victory at the battle of Lepanto. That bat-tle was the most convincing military victory that proved without a doubt the great power of the Rosary. The month of October is a good time to commit to praying the Rosary everyday. The Rosary will bring great peace and holiness to your life. It is a powerful instrument for conversion and the Rosary is the best method of honoring Mary. It protects the Church from false teachings and keeps her safe from the attacks from the Enemy. There are some great ways to cele-brate the month of the Holy Rosary... Pray the Rosary everyday this month. Pray it especially for priests. Even though the Year For Priests has come and gone, they still need your constant prayers.

Next weekend we have our “Building Our Future

Together" offering. Please use your green envelopes

for this Second Collection.
