Three changes in the works Thrift Store: The ladies in the Thrift Store told me two months ago that they wished to terminate the

Store at the end of the year. It is a great deal of work for the few elderly dedicated volunteers and it seemed to make sense to bring it to an end. Food Pantry: The Food Pantry volunteers are now down to three people none of them owning automo-biles which makes it difficult to procure or deliver groceries. We also noted that many of the people who come for free groceries also get free groceries at the Wesley House Food Pantry just a few blocks away from us. Our volunteers are willing to move to a new venture. Avance: With these two major changes in our Thrift Store and Food Pantry locations, we are taking a fresh look at the location for the possible Avance program. The Avance requirement stipulations made it less and less likely that the rental of some classroom space was going to work without major adjustments for all who use the school building. Avance believes that the location now housing the Thrift Store and Food Pantry would be a better fit for them. So, we have begun to investigate that possibility.

Tres Cambios de Trabajo Tienda de Segunda: Hace dos meses las seoras en-cargadas de la tienda de Segunda me dijeron que desean terminar con el cargo a finales

del ao. Es mucho trabajo el que se requiere para las pocas voluntarias encargadas y tiene sentido que se cierre.

Food Pantry: Las voluntarias del food pantry ahora solo son tres-ninguna de ellas tienen carros propios lo cual hace difcil entregar la comida. Nos he-mos dado cuenta que las personas que obtie-nen comida gratis aqu tambin obtienen co-mida gratis en el almacn de comida de Wes-ley House que est algunas cuadras de aqu. Nuestras voluntarias estn dispuestas a tener una nueva aventura. Avance: Con estos dos grandes cambios en la Tienda de Segunda y el Food Pantry, y vindolo de una nueva manera, podran ser las nuevas localidades para el programa de Advance. Los requisitos que peda el Programa de Avance para usar los salones hacan cada vez menos la posibilidad de rentarlos ya que necesitaban hacer ajustes mayores para to-dos los que usan el edificio. Avance cree que las localidades de la Tienda de Segunda y el Food Pantry serian mejor para ellos. As que hemos empezado a investigar esta posi-bilidad.

New boiler & cooling coils We are in the process of installing the new boiler and the cooling coils for the auditorium. When completed we should be fully functional for heating or air-conditioning requirements for our auditorium.
