To further minimize the risk to the faithful who will encounter each other at our parishes in the northwest corner of Minnesota, these protocols should be followed: Stay home if you feel sick or have flu-like symptoms. You are relieved of your Sunday obligation if you are ill or are caring for someone who is sick. Offer the Sign of Peace without touching. Refrain from receiving Communion from the Chalice if you are ill. Refrain from handholding during the Our Father. Empty holy water fonts. Place anti-bacterial hand sanitizer where Mass attendees can access it before receiving the Eucharist. Remind Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to sanitize their hands before and following distribution of the Eucharist. The Knights of Columbus have cancelled their Fish Fry’s for the rest of Lent. The Pancake Breakfast scheduled for March 29 has been cancelled. The tubing party for the parish altar servers at Detroit Mountain is still scheduled but the pizza party following the event will not take place. All visitors are asked to stay away from nursing centers at this time. COLLECTION FOR NEW SEMINARIAN BURSE: Our second collection this weekend will be taken up for the establishment of a Seminarian Burse with the Diocese of Crookston. We will join the majority of parishes in our diocese that already have burses. The cost of a seminarian’s education is borne by the Diocese and the interest from the seminarian burses is what takes care of the educational costs (tuition and housing) for those men preparing for ministry in the Diocese of Crookston. Should you wish your offering to be included in your sacrificial giving record for tax purposes, please make your check payable to Holy Rosary Parish and we will place that amount on your sacrificial giving record. We hope to present the proceeds to Bishop Hoeppner when he visits our parish in April. We are grateful for your generosity in contributing to this collection. OUR EASTER CANDLE: Today is the Third Sunday of Lent and we are thinking ahead to Easter. We are beginning to receive your offerings for this year’s Easter Candle. If you wish to make an offering in honor or memory of a loved one or friend, you may use the form on the inside of today’s Parish Bulletin for the information. Place the offering and information in an envelope and place it in the collection basket or leave it at the Parish Office. We will acknowledge these gifts during the Easter Season! DIOCESAN ANNUAL APPEAL: We continue to receive your offerings for this years DAA. Thus far $31,315.50 has been received on our way to the parish goal of $64,823. Thanks to those who have made their gift to the appeal. Additional envelopes are available at the entrances of the church. THANKS TO ALL who have spent time these past three weeks with twenty-four adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Fridays and Saturdays. We will have Adoration again this next Friday and Saturday. Please see the signup sheets at the entrances of the church. THE PARISH EXTENDS ITS SYMPATHY to the family of TONI MARIE BROGREN, whose funeral will be Monday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of David-Donehower Funeral Home with Visitation from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again.” (John 4:13)

Jesus reminds us that material things, even

something as basic as water, can never satisfy us for long. When we build our

lives around material possessions, we always want more. True Joy and

Peace only comes when we follow Jesus; when we

become more “God-centered” and less

“self-centered.”

during Lent starting at 4 pm through 4 pm Saturday even-ing. Please consider spending some time with Jesus. Sign up sheets are available at both entrances of the church.

Marriage Rosary….A rosary rally for the marriage between a man and an woman will be held in the daily Mass Chapel on Saturday, March 21, at 1 pm. With the present struggles in the world today, please consider making this rosary a part of your Saturday schedule.

For the remainder of March the Catholic Daughters will have a “pack & play” set up in the Welcoming Center. This is being used to collect items for their “baby shower” that they will be host-ing on April 4 at the Health Resource Center. They are looking for all baby items from infant clothing to personal care items, dia-pers, infant seat, baby monitor and all items used for a infant.

Readers, Commentators, Ministers of Holy Communion: Did you miss the workshops that was recently held here at Holy Ro-sary? If you were not in attendance please check with Mary in the Parish Office for the handout materials that we distributed. We also ask that you fill out the sign up form so we know that you are still interested in helping with this ministries and we have the cor-

rect contact information.

So, we're almost halfway through Lent . How's it been going so far? Have you been keeping strong with your daily penances and acts of self-denial? What about prayer and almsgiving, are you doing lots more of that, too? Have you made it to confession yet? Our Lent doesn't have to end on a crash and burn. There is still time to finish it well. Thankfully, Lent is long enough (6 weeks!) so that we have time to pick up and start again when we drop off through our own weakness, forgetfulness, or carelessness.

Adult Faith Formation: LENT NO GREATER LOVE: A Biblical Walk Through Christ’s Passion Thousands sought Jesus during his life. Only a few followed him to Calvary. What will you do? Filmed on location in the Holy Land, No Greater Love is a biblical pilgrimage that reveals Christ’s amazing love for us. Best-selling author Edward Sri guides you through the last hours of Christ’s life. You will walk step-by-step with Jesus from the garden of Gethsemane to Mount Calvary. Every step of the way, Old Testa-ment prophecies, messianic expectations, biblical symbolism, and historical context shed light on the mystery of Christ’s suffering and death. Experience a deeper understanding and appreciation of God’s immeasurable and uncondi-tional love for you—and grow closer to Jesus. Monday, 10:00-11:30 am, Holy Family Room

JESUS: THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE Jesus is our savior, our redeemer, our Lord, and our God. Our belief in Jesus is what makes us who we are as Catholics, as Christians, but do we really know him as we should? Is Jesus a part of your life, or is he at the center of your life as he should be? We invite you to make him the center of your life by joining us for Jesus: The Way, the Truth, and the Life, a 10-week video study program that explores the entirety of Jesus’ life and what he means for us as Catholics today. Participants will meet every week to view an engaging video presentation by Marcellino D’Ambrosio, Jeff Cavins, and Edward Sri, followed by a lively group discussion and fellowship. We hope you can join us! Tuesday, 9:30-11:00 am, Holy Family Room Wednesday, 6:30-8:00 pm, Resource Center

CCHD Summer Internship Opportunity The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) is the domestic, anti-poverty social justice program of the U.S. Catholic Bishops. The CCHD is offering a local paid internship for Catholics in the Diocese of Crookston to help promote the important work of CCHD and to offer experience working with and on behalf of those in poverty. The internship will provide practical work in carrying out the mandate of CCHD, opportunities to develop relationships with community leaders, reflection on Catholic Social Teaching, and opportunities for sharing the experience with other CCHD interns. The internship is paid at an hourly rate of $14/hour and requires 30 - 40 hours a week, beginning with a mandatory training, May 27-29, and ending mid-August, with the possibility of extending the internship into the Fall of 2020. Please visit www.crookston.org/employment to download the application and information regard-ing the submission of resumes. Interviews will be conducted the first week of April.

St. John Paul II Camp: Two thousand years ago, Jesus met a fisherman named Simon (Peter) on t h e s h o r e s o f L a k e Gennesaret. Dejected and exhaust-

ed after an unsuccessful night of fishing, Simon was encouraged by Jesus to “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch”. Simon Peter listened to him, hauling in so many fish that his net began to tear! That day, Simon, James and John left their nets and boats behind and began following Jesus as his disciples. Throughout his papacy, Pope John Paul II reminded us of the great blessings that abound when we trust the Lord and “put out into the deep” just as Simon and his friends did that morning on the shores of Lake Gennesaret. Saint John Paul II Camp is for youth entering grades 7-9 who have a desire to deepen their faith, live in that faith and share their faith with others. Throughout the camp, youth will be encouraged and mentored as they engage in prayer, worship, leadership development, spiritual reflection and service. The five-day experience is designed to encourage and equip youth for discipleship.

St. John Paul II Camp is also in need of Staff and Service Team members to help make camp a success. If you are going into your junior year and under 18 you can apply for Service Team and if you are 18+ by the time camp starts, you can apply to staff. If you would like more information about this, please contact Brady at Holy Rosary.

Throughout the year, the youth of Holy Rosary have the ability to attend a variety of events, camps, and conferences to enrich their spiritual lives. With every event, there is always a cost that

is attached to it. To help offset those costs, there are a variety of FUNDRAISING opportunities that your children (and parents) can participate in to help offset those event fees. If you would like to sign up your family to be a part of a emailing list for fund-raising, please email [email protected] or text Brady at 218-280-9102 to be added to the list.

If you are considering discerning a call to the Permanent Diaconate? The Permanent Diaconate is a ministry of Word, Sacrament and Service. As a ministry of the Word, Deacons proclaim the Gospel during Mass and through their lives. As a ministry of Sacrament, Deacons assist at Mass and preside at baptisms, weddings, funerals and wake services depending on the needs of the parish. And as a ministry of Service, deacons carry out all manner of works of charity from visiting the sick, caring for the poor, and participating in prison ministry among many other Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. There are currently five Deacon Candidates discerning a call to the Permanent Diaconate who are in their second year of formation – please pray for them. The next group of men will gather for the first year of formation (called the Aspirancy year) in 2021-2022. While this may seem well into the future, if you are considering the Diaconate (or think someone else should) you are encouraged to talk with your priest and to also contact Deacon Mark Krejci, Director of Deacon Formation ([email protected]), so that they can both pray for you and provide you with further information

BECKER COUNTY FOOD PANTRY March is Minnesota Food Share Month. All food & cash do-nations collected in the month of March go towards an incentive award from Greater Minneapolis Community Connections (GMCC). With more than 300 food shelves in the state on Minnesota eligi-ble to compete in the campaign, the more money and food ($1 is equal to a pound of food) collect-ed, the more the Food Pantry is eligible to receive from GMCC. Cash contributions are preferable over product donations as they are able to purchase some items for as low as 14 cents a pound or receive a discount for buying in bulk. Donations can be left here at Holy Rosary or dropped off at the Food Pantry on Tuesday’s & Thursday’s anytime from 8 - 3. They would be glad to pick up.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
