Hi Everybody! Hi all, we hope you are all well and staying safe!

So here it is, the last week of term and the last week of Year 2! What a wonderful, crazy year we’ve had! Miss Thompson, Miss Cogan, Miss

Patel, Mrs Ikram and Mrs Dhamelia are so sad that we didn’t get the full year together but we are so happy for all the lovely times that we

have had. From our trip to Warwick Castle, to our ‘Great Fire of London’ exhibition, to the Christmas performance we have had some terrific

times and great experiences.

We are incredibly proud of the amazing people you are, you have grown up so much this year. You have also shown your courage and

resilience during this crazy time. As you move on to Year 3 keep working hard, keep being strong and resilient and keep on being your amazing

selves.

We will miss you all so incredibly much! Have a wonderful summer and good luck for the future 😊

Lots of love from Miss Patel, Miss Cogan and Miss Thompson :D

Missing you all 😊

Family Challenge

For this week’s family challenge, we would like you to make a bird feeder to feed the birds around your home. You could

use anything to make it, just remember that it will be outside so must be weatherproof! You can put nuts or seed inside

your feeder for the birds to enjoy.

Don’t Forget to share your creations with us on seesaw or email it to us at [email protected]

Good Luck😊

Here are some ideas:

Please use the first two videos to help Our poor sea turtles are living in a dirty sea. How can we make the dirty sea water clean again?

exception words. Everyday Calculations.

Remember our subordinating conjunctions are because, if, that, when, so. E.G. Caterpillar had lots of pairs of shoes that covered his many feet. His shoes didn’t fit him anymore because he had grown too big. He thought he could make lots of people happy if he gave away his shoes. He wanted to give away the shoes so he went for a walk. He was climbing a leaf when he spotted a woodlouse.

For the dirty water, you will need: 1 large jug filled with water Salt Some sand (if you have any) Some strands of grass Some very small bits of rubbish Put the salt, sand, grass and rubbish into the water and mix to represent dirty sea water. To clean the water, you will need: A sieve Another sieve with a sponge or scourer inside. Some filter paper/ tea strainer 3 cups Instructions: First try pouring a little bit of the water into the first cup using a sieve to filter the water. Next pour some into the next cup using the sieve with a sponge in to filter.

Then pour the rest of the water into the last cup using the filter paper to filter. Finally, which water was cleanest? Which was the most effective filter? Is the water now drinkable? Why? Why not? Extension. How could we make the water pure?

Subordinating conjunctions (because, if, that, when, so) And of course, don’t forget the usuals (capital letters, full stops, finger spaces and handwriting). E.g. One sunny day, there was an emerald, smooth caterpillar wandering happily in the forest. He was a handsome caterpillar that had lots and lots of feet. On his feet he wore lots of pairs of interesting and unusual shoes. He was strolling along when suddenly, he spotted a woodlouse dancing merrily in the trees. punishment treatment This week’s words are using the suffixes ‘-ness’ and ‘-ment’. When a word has ‘-ness’ it means describing a quality of something… For example, ‘The man showed his kindness by helping the old lady’.

Watch the story ‘The boy who loved everyone’. In the story Dimitri realises that everyone shows their love in different ways. When we go back to school, it might be a long time before we can give our friends and teachers a big hug to tell each other how much we have missed each other. How else can we show how much we love everyone? Draw and write about 6 different ways you could show/tell your friends how much you love them while keeping a safe distance away.
