Who are the Ramapo College Roadrunners?

Nicknamed the Roadrunners and dressed in maroon and black, Ramapo is a member of the NCAA Division III, sponsoring 20 intercollegiate sports teams and two competitive club teams . Eighteen of the teams compete in the most prestigious DIII conference in the country, the New Jersey Athletic Conference, while other teams compete as members of the NECVA, MET, ECAC, and Skyline Conferences.

What do Athletes need to do to become & remain eligible?

All student-athletes must maintain a 2.0 grade point average to play sports at the varsity level.

All student-athletes who fall below a 2.0 cumulative GPA, must attend a minimum of 3 hours of study hall each week to remain eligible to play.

Student-athletes must be registered for at least 12 credit hours each semester, and pass 24 credits each academic year to participate in varsity athletics.

Before any student-athlete steps on the field/court, they must complete NCAA eligibility, insurance, sports information, fundraising, and physical paperwork.

Meet the Ramapo Rowdies….. The Ramapo Rowdies are the student supporters of Ramapo College's athletic teams. Rowdies have been known to paint their faces or bodies maroon and black and wear their Ramapo Rowdie t-shirts to represent their team spirit. It is free to join the Rowdies, all are welcome! Each year, fans are encouraged to buy limited edition "Ramapo Rowdie" Gear. The Gear is on sale at most men and women's home games throughout the year! Join the Rowdies to be the first to know about upcoming Rowdie Events and special ticket offers and transportation to post-season tournaments! *Wear your Rowdie gear to all Ramapo Athletic Events. *Show your school spirit by cheering for your Roadrunners in a positive manner. *Wigs, body paint and signs are OK!
