+a, hysical iolence- /hysical in0uries1 de%ined in the Title ei)ht cha/ter t!o

o% the Reised enal Code

+b, sycholo)ical iolence- #ental or e#otional su%%erin)

+c, cono#ic abuse- denial to /roide su//ort %or basic needs and /reentin)

the icti# in en)a)in) in any /ro%ession or actiity.

+d, e4ual iolence- causin) or atte#/tin) to cause the icti# to inoluntarily

en)a)e in any se4ual actiity by %orce or threat.

•enalties

+a, Any /erson !ho co##its /hysical iolence shall be /unished by a /enalty

hi)her than those /rescribed under Articles 23 to 2 o% the Reised

enal Code and 6ne Hundred Thousand /esos.

+b, or econo#ic or /sycholo)ical abuse1 the /unish#ent is by /rison

correctional and a %ine not less than 6ne Hundred Thousand /esos.

+c, I% it is se4ual iolence1 the /unish#ent !ill be a /enalty o% reclusion

te#/oral in its #ediu# to #a4i#u# /eriod and a %ine not less than 6ne

Hundred Thousand /esos.

+d, 8hen /hysical iolence includes #utilation1 the /enalty shall be de%ined

under Article 292 o% the Reised enal Code.

+e, I% an act includes /hysical and /sycholo)ical or se4ual1 the /enalty shall bereclusion te#/oral to reclusion /er/etua and %ine not less than 6ne
