Main Characters

•Kieran Hart – 17 year old. Strives to be a famous singer, although music is secondary.

•John Lock – 18 year old. Kieran’s friend from school and manager.

Plot• Kieran Hart is a 18 year old man-child dedicated to

becoming famous within the music business.• Follows the story of Kieran Hart’s quest for fame.• Kieran learns that obsession with fame comes at a cost.• Set in modern times.• Film set after Kieran gains popularity through posting

covers of famous pop songs on Youtube and hires his school ‘friend’ to be his manager.

• The quest within the film is the manager’s struggle to fulfil Kieran’s outlandish requests such as to book Kieran to play a stadium show.

Target Audience• Aiming for a certificate 15 rating.• Target audience is everyone above the age of 15.• Don’t aim to pander to a certain niche age group.• Aimed at no particular gender.• Targeted audience already have a developed

sense of humour. All the jokes won’t be obvious because the humour will come from how the characters interact.

Conventions• My film will include typical conventions from both comedy

films and documentaries.• Talking heads will be used to develop characters and give

backstories.• The film will include a standard film pace and narrative so

to have the pace of an average film but to contain the aesthetic of a documentary through camera work and mise en scene.
