TRANSCRIPT

As we approach the 3rd Annual ceremony and already we have had some companies dominating specific categories, making them their very own, we look at who they are, what the chances are of them winning again and who may challenge them in January.

3 Awards and leading the Charts

Leading the amount of individual awards won since the IGA started are Bally Technologises with 3 awards, they are: Slot Manufacturer & Casino Equipment Supplier and in 2009 they picked up Best awards, they are: Slot Manufacturer & Casino Equipment Supplier and in 2009 they picked up Best Customer Support/Service Award. So 3 IGAs in just two years makes Bally the award leader so far! But would people find that strange, Bally have been doing well over the last few year especially in the current climate and so the recognition given to them by our judging panel is probably on a par with their current success.

What chances do Bally have of picking up any awards for 2010? Certainly they are already nominated in the “Gaming Technology Manufacturer” category, but as always this category is the most fiercly contested, with the likes ofmost fiercly contested, with the likes of Aristocrat, IGT, Novomatic among others having excellent opportunties. Sometimes it can come down to the presentation of evidence supplied by nominees.

Then there is the coverted “Slot Manufacturer” Award, with Bally winning it in 2008, will be sure to want to take it back this time from current holders IGT. The 2010 ceremony could well see one of the most openly contested categories for this award and wish all nominees the very best of luck.

2 Awards and definately wanting more

We have a group on winning two awards and are; Cammegh, Melco Crown Ent, Red Planet Gaming, Casino RevieCasino Review, Holland Casinos and Casinos Austria.

Cammegh: winner of Innovation in 2008 and Traditional Gaming Equipment Design in 2009 will be trying hard to win their 3rd award and maybe 4th in 2010. Always highly competitive in everything the Cammegh company do, they have certainly taken the Gaming Awards to their hearts and always look at winning an award as a marker to how successful they have been in the previous year. Always a strong contender in whatever category they are in and will want to take the Bally mantle of leader away from them as soon as possible.

Melco Crown Entertainment: Winner of Casino Interior Design in 2008 and Winner of Casino Melco Crown Entertainment: Winner of Casino Interior Design in 2008 and Winner of Casino Operator Australasia in 2009, Melco Crown Ent are in a strong position to challenge for both those categories again. With the opening of the City of Dreams being a contender for Interior Design and certainly once again Operator in the Asia/Australsia sector. Although there are many contenders able to make strong challenges in both it will be hard for Melco to hold on to both awards, but sure they will fight to hold the titles both Lwrence Ho and James Packer value highly.
