SEGUNDA LECTURA APOCALIPSIS 5, 11-14 EVANGELIO JUAN 21, 1-9
“Después de haber comido, dice Jesús a Simón Pedro: «Simón de Juan, ¿me amas más que éstos?»” La semana pasada celebramos la Fiesta de la Divina Misericordia, todos fuimos invitados a meter nuestros dedos en las llagas de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo y nuestra mano en su costado gracias a la incredulidad de Tomas. Bien aventurado aquel que pudo exclamar como él: “Señor mío y Dios mío” después de haber tocado sus dos naturalezas, la Humana y la Divina. Tocamos su naturaleza Humana al momento de introducir nuestros dedos en las llagas de sus manos y tocamos su naturaleza Divina al tocar su corazón cuando introdujimos nuestra mano en su costado abierto.
Hoy Jesús, no está en Jerusalén, ahora lo encontramos en Galilea, a las orillas del lago muy temprano por la mañana esperando a sus discípulos que terminen de pescar. Pobres, han fatigado toda la noche y no han pescado nada, no han pescado no porque no hubiera peces, ni tampoco porque fuera una mala noche, mucho menos porque fueran inexpertos pescadores, como siempre detrás de todo lo que le sucede a los discípulos fuera de lo ordinario esta la mano del Padre en complicidad con el Hijo.
El hecho de que no pescaron nada esa noche tenía una razón y un fin de fondo, que consistía en mostrarle Jesús a sus los discípulos que su poder milagroso era el mismo antes y después de su muerte. Los milagros obrados en su vida pública eran en función de demostrar que él era el enviado del Padre abriéndoles su corazón a la conversión) mientras los milagros obrados después de su resurrección (que fueron muchos que no están escritos según nos dijo el evangelista Juan la semana pasada) eran en función de que entendieran (abriéndoles la mente) que tenía poder de conferir autoridad y poder a quien el quisiera.
Recuerden que en Cesarea de Filipo Jesús confirió a Pedro el Primado después de una profesión de fe (cuando le respondió: “tú eres el Cristo”). Hoy Cristo conferirá a Pedro el título de Pastor encargado de sus ovejas después de una profesión de amor: “Señor, tú lo sabes, tu sabes que te amo”.
De ahora en adelante Pedro estará listo para ejercer su primado y misión de Pastor, Vicario de Cristo al darse cuenta que la fe no es suficiente para ejercer su ministerio también es necesario tener los mismos sentimientos de Cristo, es decir tener el mismo amor de Cristo por las ovejas. Fe y Amor son los elementos indispensables para poder Pedro ejercer dignamente su misión de Pastor de las ovejas que Jesús le encomienda. Que afortunados hemos sido nosotros al haber tenido el privilegio de conocer buenos vicarios de Cristo en las personas de San Juan XXIII, Beato Pablo VI, San Juan Pablo II, Benedicto XVI y hoy Papa Francisco que han sabido nutrir con la recta Doctrina y los Sacramentos a nosotros las ovejas de Cristo.
¡Animo!, que tú y yo en nuestro poco también estamos llamados a apacentar, y pastorear las ovejas que Jesús ha puesto en nuestro redil. Mi pregunta es: ¿sabes quiénes son estas ovejas? sino lo sabes basta que preguntes Jesús y te lo dirá. Padre Sergio

Postures for Mass The Our Father Many people have become accustomed to joining hands during the Our Father as a sign of unity. But the real sign of unity at Mass is being united together in Jesus in receiving Holy Communion. So, in our parish, for the Lord’s Prayer, people are encouraged to either fold their hands or raise them in what is known as the “prayer posture” – hands opened and turned to God. After the Lord’s Prayer, the hands are lowered and not kept raised during the continuing prayers (Deliver us, Lord, from every evil…For the kingdom and the power…).
