What is RCIA and who is it for? The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process whereby new members join the Catholic Church, designed specifically for the following: 1. For adults who have never been baptized and who
want to inquire about the Catholic faith. 2. For adults who have been baptized into another
Christian tradition (Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist, etc.) who want to inquire about the Catholic faith.
3. For baptized Catholic adults who have not completed the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation and need more faith formation.
If you fit into any of these categories or have a friend or relative who does, please contact Elsa Lusk at the parish office: 714-842-3000 x12 or send an email to [email protected].
The RCIA process of Becoming Catholic... meets on Wednesday nights from 7 PM to 8 PM in Meeting Room 8. You can enter at any time during the year. All those interested in becoming Catholic must experience a full year in our church community; therefore, it is good to enter the journey as soon as possible. If you are a baptized Catholic and you only need the Sacrament of Confirmation, you may join the Adult Confirmation process which is a short preparation of only six months which begins in the Fall.

These sacred hymns become our heartfelt response to God’s loving and wondrous deeds for us. Their words captivate the imagination and draw us into a deeply personal encounter with God.

Faith Formation Registrations are now available! It’s that time of year! Register your children for the Faith Formation 2016/2017 year. You can pick up a form in the Parish Office or online! To ensure your preferred time and day, we ask to register early! If you have any questions, please contact the Faith Formation Office at 714-842-3000 ext. 24.
For Children’s Liturgy of the Word During the summer we offer Liturgy of the Word every Sunday. We have a great need for this ministry that is in high demand with the families. We are in need of: Lectors, Catechists, Catechist Assistants, Environment Set Up and Clean. If you regularly attend the 10 AM or the 11:30 AM Mass, this is a great way for you to serve the Parish without making a big time commitment!
The children are dismissed from Sunday Mass after the Opening Prayer to hear the Word of God proclaimed and then explained in an age-appropriate way. The children return to the Church during the collection.

Encounter: A Middle School Bible Study Encounter: Experiencing God in the Everyday is more than just a Bible study. It is a fun way to dive in and encounter God through the Bible! Each night we will share a meal, play games, and look at stories of the Bible. We will meet every Wednesday for 8 weeks starting July 6, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Registration forms are available

DACA and Immigration From January 2016 to June 2017 Catholic Charities will be offering free workshop assistance for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) applications. DACA
provides work permits, social security numbers and protection from deportation for some undocumented individuals brought to the country before age 16 and having resided in the U.S. since June 2007. Postures for Mass Remain in the Church until the Mass has ended Our Liturgy has a beginning “In the name of the Father .. and an end (“go forth, the Mass is ended” ). The Mass is not over until we have been blessed and “sent” forth as disciples for the world. Please always try to arrive on time and to not leave the church before the end of Mass. This is common courtesy and a sign of common love for the community of believers gathered in worship.
