Le 24 septembre 2010 marque le 25ième anniversaire de Consac-Imagemakers. Pour vous tous les vieux de la vieille, vous pouvez constater les différences dramatiques qui ont eu lieu dans notre industrie depuis notre premier salon en 1985, dans le foyer de l’hôtel Constellation. Le DEL et l’impression numérique grand format étaient quelques-unes des technologies pas encore inventées.

Depuis 1985, Consac-Imagemakers a montré une croissance constante à l’exception de 2009, lorsque le marasme économique global a secoué notre industrie. Malgré l’adversité, nous avons livré un excellent salon au grand plaisir des exposants et délégués. Je suis extrêmement heureux d’annoncer que le 25ième anniversaire de Consac-Imagemakers 2010 semble vouloir atteindre le même niveau que notre meilleur salon en 2008.

Au salon de cette année, l’ACE a le grand plaisir de souhaiter la bienvenue à 29 nouveaux exposants. Notre nouveau hall à l’International Centre sera l’endroit idéal pour célébrer l’anniversaire d’argent de notre salon. Nous avons cédulé plusieurs séminaires de haute qualité, vendredi soir nous aurons notre fabuleux dîner-croisière dans les îles de Toronto, à bord du Mariposa Belle et, évidemment jeudi le 23 septembre, le tournoi de golf annuel “Don Morgan Memorial” donnera le coup d’envoi au salon.

Le déjeuner de notre assemblée générale annuelle et la remise des prix du concours d’enseignes aura lieu samedi matin. À l’AGA, l’emphase a été placée sur une présentation franche, honnête et responsable des opérations journalières durant les derniers douze mois. Nous croyons que la transparence est primordiale pour notre croissance. Une période de questions et réponses suivra la présentation du rapport et la remise des prix aux gagnants du concours d’enseignes complètera le programme. Ce sera l’opportunité parfaite de rencontrer les membres du conseil et discuter avec eux des projets présents et futurs de l’association.

En terminant, j’aimerais mentionner ma profonde fierté à servir en tant que président de l’association de cette grande industrie.
