Congratulations Durrumbul Public School Congratulations everyone in the SRC, and a few selected guests, for an incredible effort for your entry today in the School Lunch Box Challenge. A carefully selected menu was offered of cauliflower and potato gratin, beetroot hummus with fresh veggies from the garden, sparkling Jabuticaba mineral water and icy poles was offered and well received by the judges. Congratulations Durrumbul on winning $250 for the Jabuticaba icy poles as well as a further $250 for the garden education program.

The Lake Ainsworth Camp for Years 3-6 is very soon and I would urge all families of students attending to please log on to the Lake Ainsworth website and complete the medical form: https://sportandrecreation.nsw.gov.au/facilities/medicalandconsentform This needs to be completed by Monday 5th November. Again I would like to thank you to Mr Durkin for organizing the Lunch Box Challenge, enabling our students to learn more about healthy lunch box options. It has been a wonderful week for our students. Enjoy your weekend and maybe try creating a new recipe to share with your families and friends. Justine Griffin

Term 4 Week 3

Halloween Fun Wednesday was a spooky fun day with students dressing up to raise funds for the SRC, as they are working towards new soccer goal posts for our playground. Each student shared their amazing outfits with the school in an impromptu assembly.

Assembly We have selected two new senior students, Seb and Asher, to conduct our weekly assemblies. The students are doing a great job leading the school. We hope all Year 6 will have the opportunity to lead the school in this way. I have been very proud of the way our seniors are role modelling for our younger children.

Our outstanding award winners for Week 2 were Moss, Gaia, Tom and Otis.

Term 4 Week 3

PBL Targets Our PBL target for week 3 was, Caring: I care for equipment and for others. As a school everyone is always trying to be caring and kind to others and we have handed out many Echidna tickets to go in the Star box ready for Monday’s assembly. Three students will be drawn from the box and each one will receive a canteen voucher. The winners drawn at Week 3’s assembly were Tom, Moss and Gaia (K), congratulations!
