In 2020, Marimekko’s collections will celebrate the power of flowers

as an ingredient for a good life. Marimekko flowers represent

creativity, boldness and charm of imperfection. They have their roots

in rebellion – Maija Isola’s iconic flower print Unikko (poppy) was

born in 1964 after Armi Ratia had announced that Marimekko would

never print a flower pattern.

Our creative community has examined the mindset of people for whom gardening is a central part of their lifestyle and a great passion. They savour the uplifting process of planting seeds and watching

them grow.
