Presentation by Wildlife Photographer Noppadal Paothong 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 Magruder Hall 2001 Noppadal Paothong will speak about his journey as a journalist, photographer and wildlife enthusiast. Golden Dragon Acrobats Lyceum Event 7:30-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 Baldwin Hall Auditorium The Golden Dragon Acrobats will perform as part of the Kohlenberg Lyceum Series. Tickets are free for students, faculty and staff with a Truman ID at the Student Activities Board Box Office and the Information Center in the Student Union Building with a Truman ID. General admission tickets cost $10 and can be purchased at Edna Campbell’s Book Store, the cashier’s window in McClain Hall or at lyceum.truman.edu. Fall brush and limb pick-up 7 a.m. Sept. 22-25 The Street Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department will begin picking up tree limbs and large brush Sept. 22 by 7 a.m. The work will take the entire week of Sept. 22-25 and will replace the previously scheduled fall pick-up between Oct. 6-10. Contact the Department of Public Works by phone at (660) 627-1291 with further questions. Any community member or agency can be nominated through a brief application process available via the Center for Student Involvement. Individuals or organizations can make nominations. The event will be Sept. 24-25. Contact the Student Affairs Office at [email protected] or (660) 785-4111 for more information. Kirksville Parks and Recreation Deparment to host fall dinner theatre The Kirksville Parks and Recreation Department will host Nunsense, a dinner theatre event, this month. Nunsense will be performed 6 p.m. Sept. 19, 20, 26 and 27 at Jackson Stables and dinner will be catered by Hy-Vee. There will be two non-dinner performances 7 p.m. Sept. 18 and 25. Tickets are $20 for dinner theatre performances and $5 for non-dinner performances. Few non-dinner tickets remain, so it is advised to purchase soon. Purchase tickets at the Kirksville Aquatic Center. The Aquadome’s former venue at 121 N. Main St. suffered major exterior damage during the storms last week. The building was condemned during summer break aſter suffering interior damage from heavy rainfall. Students could pay $2 for one pie or $5 for three pies and throw them at the faces of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity members. The money was donated to the Special Olympics.
