Presidents Report

Judging from the laughter in the theatre, I would say that the Rotarians who went to the screening of “The Second Best Marigold Hotel” enjoyed themselves. 67 members from our club joined the many others who supported Polio eradication by coming along to the movie. Only two weeks to conference now. Trish is off at PET’s (President Elect Training), this weekend, so expect to start to hearing more about what will be happening in the next Rotary year. Our Farmer’s Market is all set with logos, banners and signs (see page 3). Most im-portantly almost all the members who are not going to conference will be manning the gates on March 14

th. It should be a grand

opening and I look forward to feedback on how it went. Next week we have Andrew Home, retired receiver and manager, speaking. Richard Jones will chair the meeting. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

The latest Beaumaris Theatre production opens on 6th March, this is the yearly 'Junior' production with a talented cast of 13 - 18 year olds. 'The Lit-tle Mermaid' is an ideal

show to take your children/grandchildren to and intro-duce them to the joys of live theatre! As always, Debbie Keyt and her crew have gone to great lengths to stage a good show and is always grateful of the support Beau-maris Rotarians show to this local community group. Tickets available via their website

Falls in Autumn Photograph by Vedrana Tafra, National Geographic Dispersing fog and a mo-ment of sunshine bring the falls and foliage of Croatia’s Plitvice Lakes National Park into view on an early au-tumn morning. The coun-try’s oldest and largest na-tional park, Plitvice boasts more than plunging water-falls: Its 16 terraced lakes, formed by natural travertine dams, change colour throughout the day, and its abundant wildlife includes 261 species of birds.
