June 2-3 -- Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ At the heart of this great celebration is the reality of Christ’s total gift of himself to us! Christ not only gave his life on the cross for our salvation, but continues to give himself completely in the Eucharist. This feast is also a reminder that through Christ we are inti-mately connected to one another as mem-bers of his Body. If Christ is willing to give him-self to all of us, saints and sinners, what sac-rifice for others are we willing to make? Are we willing to give of ourselves for those in need: the poor, the imprisoned, the unborn, the undocu-mented immigrant, the refugee, the homeless stranger?

This year's annual Holy Cross Festival will be Friday, September 7th and Saturday, September 8th. Raffle tickets for our annual Holy Cross Festi-val will be distributed after all Masses beginning the second weekend in June through Father’s Day weekend. All parishioners are asked to pick
up their raffle tickets from the raffle table in the portico. Raffle tickets may also be picked up at the school office during their summer hours.
We're asking all families to sell a minimum of $30 in raffle tickets.
Ministry Meeting: Our next ministry meeting is Thursday, June 7th at 6:00 pm in the Knights of Columbus meeting room.

Dear Parishioners, This year the month of June is especially blessed, for both Corpus Christi, the Body and Blood of Our Lord and the Sacred Heart are cele-brated. With this in mind, there are many opportunities to grow in grace by reflecting upon these two mysteries of the love of God poured out for us.
The Eucharist is called the Sacrament of Love. Through Holy Commun-ion, the love of God is transmitted to us through the remembrance of the Last Supper and of the Holy Cross. The more we gaze upon the Body and Blood of our Lord in Eucharistic adoration and the more we receive Holy Communion the more truly we enter into the love of God.
The Sacred Heart is celebrated on June 8 (the second Friday after Pen-tecost). The devotion to the Heart of Jesus has a place of honor in the spirituality of our Holy Faith. The Sacred Heart is a constant reminder that Jesus is still suffering through the members of the Church and still pleads for us before the throne of God our Father.
The connecting point that joins the Eucharist and the Sacred Heart is mercy. We are loved by God! He has mercy on us and elevates us to friendship with Him through Holy Communion. In the Sacred Heart we see the human heart, the truly human heart that Our Lord received from the Virgin Mary and we experience the rays of His unfathomable mercy.
Let us consider that this year, June of 2018 is the month of mercy!

Queridos Feligreses, Este año el mes de junio es especialmente bendecido porque se cele-bra Corpus Christi, el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Nuestro Señor y el Sagrado Corazón. Con esto en mente, se presentan muchas oportunidades para crecer en la gracia al reflexionar sobre estos dos misterios del amor de Dios derramado por nosotros.
La Eucaristía se llama el Sacramento del Amor. A través de la Santa Comunión, el amor de Dios es transmitido a nosotros a través de la conmemoración de la Última Cena y de la Santa Cruz. Cuanto más mi-remos al Cuerpo y la Sangre de Nuestro Señor en la adoración eucarís-tica y cuanto más recibamos la Sagrada Comunión, más entramos ver-daderamente en el amor de Dios.
El Sagrado Corazón se celebra el 8 de junio (el segundo viernes des-pués de Pentecostés). La devoción al Corazón de Jesús tiene un lugar de honor en la espiritualidad de nuestra Santa Fe. El Sagrado Corazón es un recordatorio constante de que Jesús sigue sufriendo a través de los miembros de la Iglesia y aún sigue suplicando por nosotros ante el trono de Dios nuestro Padre.
El punto de conexión que une a la Eucaristía y al Sagrado Corazón es la misericordia. ¡Somos amados por Dios! Él tiene misericordia de noso-tros y nos eleva a una amistad con Él a través de la Sagrada Comunión. En el Sagrado Corazón vemos un corazón humano, el corazón verdade-ramente humano que nuestro Señor recibió de la Virgen María y por el cual experimentamos los rayos de su inmensa misericordia.
¡Consideremos que este año, el mes de junio del 2018, es el mes de la misericordia!

On Monday, June 4 Daily Mass will be celebrated in the main church at 8:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. (This is a change from the fall schedule when daily Mass is celebrated at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. on Friday.) Please note this time change.
Daily Mass is a grace that is accessible to every Catholic person. We are blessed to have a church building constructed with great care and sacrifice that is worthy for the celebration of Holy Mass.
O Sweetest Jesus you came into the world to give all souls the life of your grace. And, to nourish and preserve the gift of the Eucharist you have provided a daily cure for our spiritual and physical infirmi-ties. We humbly beseech you by your Sacred Heart on fire with love for us to forth upon us the gifts of your divine Spirit. May we draw daily from the fountain of Eucharistic grace and be ever more purified and come at last to the possession of eternal life that is happiness with you. Amen.
Misa Diaria
El lunes, 4 de junio la Misa diaria se celebrará en la iglesia principal a las 8:00 a.m. de lunes a viernes. (este es un cambio al horario de otoño cuando la Misa diaria se celebra a las 7:00 a.m. de lunes a jueves y de 8:00 a.m. el viernes.) Tome en cuenta este cambio de horario.
La Misa diaria es una gracia que esta accesible a cada persona católica. Tenemos la bendición de tener el edificio de la iglesia construido con gran cuidado y sacrificio que es digno para la celebración de la Santa Misa.

Holy Water Fonts
The holy water fonts as we enter the church are brass with a plastic liner. Great care is taken to assure the
holy water is fresh and blessed according to the appropriate formulary. When we enter the church, we
take the holy water and bless ourselves making the + sign of the Cross.
Please do not remove the plastic liner to use as a dipper in the !lowing holy water font because water then
remains between the plastic liner and the brass bowl. The trapped drops of water between the brass and
the plastic cause deterioration of the brass !inish.
Thank you for helping all of us to keep the holy water fonts in good condition so that we may bless our-
selves with a font that is well kept and is a re!lection of our respect for the church and Our Lord.

Las fuentes de agua benditas las fuentes de agua benditas al entrar a la iglesia son de laton con un forro de plastico. Se toma
gran cuidado para asegurar que el agua bendita se mantenga fresca y bendecida de acuerdo al formulario apropiado. Cuando
entramos en la iglesia, tomamos el agua bendita y nos bendecimos a nosotros mismos haciendo el signo + de la Cruz.
