14 February 2019
As is evident in the pictures below,
a good time was had by All!
Senior Valentine’s Ball
The Year 11 class of ISWB hosted a most successful Valentine’s Ball
on Friday, 15 February.
Well done to Mrs Annemarie Etsebeth and her Year 11 team.
Congratulations to the ISWB Mr & Miss Valentine
Gianni Fernandes and Monica Davis
KS1 and 2 Beach Clean-up
Thank you to all our daddies and mommies for your efforts to
get your children to the drop-off points and to fetch them
again.
The kids collected a huge amount of beach waste and
hopefully it would encourage them to help keep our beaches
clean when they visit the beach again.
It is our mission to create environmental awareness amongst
our students and to act on the responsibility we have to curb
the pollution of the oceans.
During the December holiday, Luca Greeff (picture below)
collected a whole bakkie load of rubbish at Paaltjies.
Luca, you are an inspiration to all of us, thank you!
Beach Clean-up Fun!
A special thank you to all the KS1 and KS2 teachers for
organising this event!
The Year 6 students were “treated” to
study and dissect a mammal heart.
A resistance to get involved was at first experienced, but as Ms
Gebhardt started to explain and to point out the different functions
and valves of the heart, the interest gained momentum and soon
everybody was eager to explore the chambers of the heart.
The Year 4s
History with Mrs Kotchoubei is FUN!
World Wetlands Day
Two ISWB Year 7 students took part in the World Wetlands
Day activities presented by the Municipality of Walvis Bay
and EYE Namibia.
They were treated to a presentation at the lagoon on birdlife,
a visit to the Salt refinery as well as a visit to Namport.
Congratulations to Cesar Fernandes and Nelao Hangula
for winning the Robotics Competition presented by
Mindsinaction at the event.
