Students of our own Hindi medium fully free Project school can now pursue their studies as well as contribute to the family coffer. Yes, candle making has given this light to their lives. This change of making candles has ensured that they can earn for their living as it opens many doors. It is a very lucrative as the clients belong to all strata of the society.

“It is better to light just one little candle than to stumble in the dark…” .

Candle making, is an awe-inspiring art and at the same time a consuming hobby.  As you become better in candle making, it could surely be a good business venture.

We decided how we could help the students. After deciding upon candle making we tried to see how this would help them. We knew candle is an essential item for most religious functions of all religions – among them Shab e barat and Diwali is very important. So we came upon this idea as we thought our school students can be their customers.

First we arrange for all the required materials for candle making.

We learnt the candle making procedure.

We convinced the project school students after identifying a small number to learn the candle making.

We motivated them by telling about prospects and the ready customers.

We also inspired by explaining to them that they do not need any business area.

We taught candle making to the project schools student under the guidance of teacher.

First they learnt to make the simple white candles of different shapes.

When they developed the skill of making candles properly, then they learnt to make the colorful ones.

Students showed great interest in candle making.Some students also showed some creativity during the candle making

session.Some students taught their family member also about candle making.

We are successfully made 75 candles.

We as well as the project school students got a chance to learn the process of candle making.

Project school students have taught their family about candle making. So whole family can involve in the business.

It has given the new way to earn their money and they can continue their education also.

It reduce the little bit of child labour problem.

The small steps given satisfaction and confidence among students.
