COUNTRY• India is in the
South of Asia.
• Is the second most populated country in the world, and the seventh largest.
SYMBOLS• The flag of India is
orange, white and green, meaning purity, peace and fertility.
• One of the most important symbols is the Om, as a symbol of Hinduism.
CITIES• India’s capital is New Delhi,
but the most populated city and the economic center is Mumbai.
TAJ MAHAL• Taj Mahal is one of
the most important monuments in India.
• Is situated in Agra.
• Taj Mahal is not a palace, but a great tomb of an Indian queen.
GANDHI• Gandhi was an
important Indian pacifist. He was lawyer and politic, and one of the most influential persons in the country.
• He fought for the rights and the independence of India.
ANIMALS• India has a great diversity of wild
animals. The most known and beauty are tigers and blue peafowls.
POVERTY• India is one of the most
beautiful and interesting countries in the world, but it has serious problems, for example the poverty.
• Many children have to work in India to survive.
CULTURE• The principal religion in India is Hinduism.• Sari is a traditional female cloth.• Rupia is the unit of currency in India.
