DESCRIPTION
We, the residents of Indiana, are ready to demonstrate our disapproval of state-level immigration proposals that harm our communities by spreading fear, creating an unwelcome environment for newcomers and limiting educational opportunity. Two bills are especially threatening: SB590, an anti-immigrant legislation modeled after Arizona’s SB1070 and HB1402 which requires out-of state tuition for undocumented young people.TRANSCRIPT
