Remember in prayer: Congratulations to Olive Davies who celebrated her 94th birthday this past Monday, December 7! Cards for Olive can be sent to, The Terraces Rm 204, 2000 32nd St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508 Alice Van Meeteren has returned to her daughter and family in Washington, MI for the winter. Sandy Mudget is recovering well from her hip surgery. She was expected to be transferred to a rehab facility Friday or Saturday. Edna Dykema remains at Freedom Inn and is getting weaker. We express our sympathy to Alice Slager and her family, in the loss of Bill this past Wednesday. Please keep this family in your prayers during this difficult time, and this holiday season. Funeral arrangements are pending. We want to thank our Faith family for your prayers, encouragement, cards, and for the volunteers who served our lunch. We especially appreciate Faith's gracious gesture in allowing us to use this church for our dad's memorial service. The Faith community has blessed us! Bonnie and Terry DeJong, Barb and Karl Brink, and our entire family.

Opportunities to serve: CCC is looking for anyone who would be interested in buying a toy for a child in the community that signed up for their toy giveaway. They have 60 kids who are registered, and could still use more people willing to give. The exterior of the home is nearly completed and we will be spending more time now on the interior starting with insulating and drywall. Deacons Corner: For the month of December, we are collecting supplies/food items for My Brothers House 3. Items can be brought to the table in the Fellowship Room, and will be collected through Sunday, December 27. Items that are needed: Toilet paper, Ziploc bags, Dishwashing detergent, Pasta, Cereal, Rice, Spaghetti Sauce and Noodles, any canned food items.

Additional Announcements Our Children’s Christmas Program, will be this Sunday, December 13 at 9:30am. Sunday School and Catechism classes will not meet Sunday. Classes will resume on January 10. All Church Choir - We are hoping that you will come out and participate in choir this Advent season at Faith. We will have practice this Sunday following the morning service. The choir will sing in worship next Sunday, December 20. Sunday School and Catechism classes will not meet today. Classes will resume on January 10. L.I.F.T. groups are scheduled to meet Sunday. Sacred Dance - Girls grades 3 - 12. Practice is scheduled for this Wednesday, December 16 from 5:30 - 6:15. Kids Craft Night & Carnival will be this Friday, December 18 6:30-8:45pm. As a church committed to reconciliation, Faith has been invited to celebrate and participate in the Holland community Kwanzaa celebration. This event will be at Maple Avenue Church on Sunday, December 20 at 4:30pm. Pastor Chad will be one of the speakers. Everyone is invited!

Additional Announcements Our Faith Cadets have birdhouses for sale! They are made of Cedar. All proceeds are going to provide for a family that they are sponsoring for the holidays (from the center for women in transition). The birdhouses are $30 each, cash donations are accepted as well. Please contact Mike Slager at michaelslager@gmail.com with any questions or if you would like to buy one! The 2016 Church Budget was approved last Sunday at our congregational meeting. The total for our Thanksgiving Offering was, $45,220. In your mailboxes today, you will find a list of the amounts given to the different funds/causes. Missing items from the Church Kitchen: 150 Teaspoons, Electric Roaster, Vegetable Steamer (Stockpot with insert & top). Please return these items or contact Mark & Jane Lambers with any questions. Christmas Day Worship – Come and celebrate with us Christ’s birth on Friday, December 25 at 9:30am. We will conclude our service with the singing of the “Hallelujah Chorus”. Everyone is invited to participate. There will be no Worship Center for this service.

City on a Hill needs volunteers to snow blow and shovel walks around the building this winter. City on a Hill has a snow blower.
